My husband and I are big coffee drinker's and over the years have become very particular about what we drink. Of all the coffee we've tried, Humboldt Bay Coffee has remained our favorite! We prefer dark roasts and theirs are the only ones that don't have burnt or bitter flavor. Their coffee is rich, smooth and aromatic- simply the best! They have an awesome roasting facility and storefront located in Old Town Eureka. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! This place has a cool vibe, great hospitality and beautiful products that are adorned in original artwork! It's a family business, and if you become a regular customer, you become part of the family! The staff is very knowledgeable in what they do, and you are sure to leave understanding more about coffee than when you arrived! Cool Place!

We are a small batch, bean to bar craft chocolate maker using ONLY two ingredients in our award winning bars; cacao & cane sugar. Come by and see how our chocolate is made. Check our website for tour dates/times otherwise stop by and see our retail boutique anytime.
The tours were sold out but we went to check it out anyway because we’d heard good things. There are lots of chocolates to sample including the super rich drinking chocolate. We also enjoyed a very thorough explanation of how chocolate is made. I bought a gift to send to a friend in VA (free shipping for purchases of $25 or more). And of course we bought some to eat later. Our visit was about 45 minutes and then walked into Old Town Eureka.

A museum specializing in Humboldt County history with numerous Native American artifacts.
This building was absolutely beautiful and filled with amazing items to browse and learn more about Humboldt County, the rich Native American history of the area, and was staffed by friendly and helpful employees. The location was right in the middle of downtown which made it great for walkability and to be near many of the local attractions and restaurants.

Award-winning CA craft beer brewing company founded in 1989. When Lost Coast brewed its first beer, there weren’t a lot of craft breweries in existence, especially in California. Small batch brewing – or microbrewing – wasn’t exactly a promising line of work, as few could take on the giants in the beer world. What started as a crazy experiment soon grew into a fledgling brewery based out of a 100-year-old building in downtown Eureka. Funny things happen when you consistently crank out great beer. Lost Coast continued to expand, gaining fans around the globe and outgrowing a couple brewing facilities along the way. We’re now located just south of Eureka, brewing out of a custom-built brewery that’s designed to grow with the company.
