Flight Simulators Midlands

Flight Simulators Midlands are delighted to offer you a thrilling experience on board a real B737-800 (motion) simulator or a Boeing 747-400 Jumbo Jet simulator with simulated motion or an Airbus A320 (motion) real aircraft cockpit, converted into a simulator. All are fitted with the latest Glass Cockpit Instrumentation (PFD/ND or EFIS)and the latest graphics available. Fly the mountains around Salzburg or the waterways of Hong Kong. These simulators have trained thousands of professional pilots over the years. (They are not replica simulators like many on offer). Now it's your turn to sit where they did and learn the tricks of the trade. We highly recommend a full hours flight time (90 minute experience) to get the best from your visit. Welcome on board. Captain Chris Rigby (Chief Pilot FSM)

Be warned, this is such a fantastic experience that if you do it once you will want to do it again - or take up flying. It’s a great set up and the staff are welcoming and friendly. My Wife bought me this as a 60th birthday present and along with Captain Nigel we flew the 747 Jumbo around New York landing at JFK and then nipped over to Innsbruck for a flight between the mountains. It is so realistic that you soon feel like you are actually flying and if like me you are fascinated by the whole concept of flight you will love this. I was so impressed, I booked to do it all over again - can’t recommend it more than that.

We are a 200-strong repertory theatre company made up entirely of volunteers. We have a deep sense of community ethos and identification with Coventry as our home. Anyone can become a member of the Criterion Theatre. There is no limit to how many members can join and no entry requirement.

My friend and I popped into the impressive Fargo Village and we came across this charming place. The curator’s passion for his collection and his authentic knowledge was very evident. Listening to the curator was 15-20 minutes well spent. I ve just read a touching backstory to this endeavour on the internet. As with the Two Tone Village and the Coventry Music Museum, I hope the Fargo Village and this charming emporium and museum get the recognition they deserve when Coventry enjoys its well-deserved tenure as the City of Culture.

Great and really informative brewery tour led by one of the directors. The tour also includes some beer tokens, which simply had to be used. The brewery tap is great as well. Enjoyable way to spend a few hours on a rainy Saturday.

Our group of 3 took on The Dungeon of Doom. Great concept and plenty of tricky puzzles to keep you busy. Our games host was brilliant and provided hints when we needed them (which you do need in this game, especially if you've only got 3 players). We will be back to try out some of the other rooms.

We were invited to a wedding reception that was held here and we had an absolutely fantastic time from start to finish So much thought has gone in to every area of this venue with tables made out of barrels and crates turned in to works of art - very funky, lovely ambience and a great place for a wedding venue The venue is on the site of a brewery and in a room next to the reception area is where the beer creation happens. There is a van outside the venue where all the food is cooked and we were given lots of burger options and ours were cooked perfectly and we experienced great attentive service all round There are retro arcade machines here which for those of us born in the late 70’s / 80’s, will define appreciate as well as 2 pool tables. There is a really nice bar area and an outdoor seating area with blankets to keep people warm which was a nice touch. This was a brilliant place for a wedding reception. I would also recommend coming here for a few drinks too as it has something for everyone and is unique to other bars / wedding venues

Herbert Art Gallery & Museum

Investigate the natural world, modern art, and the Old Masters. Wander through dazzling interactive displays, and enjoy the latest exhibitions while admiring the building’s unique architecture. As well as the art gallery’s ever-changing displays which are often created in partnership with national museums, the Herbert offers a wide range of detailed talks, fantastic events and inventive workshops for adults and families. The Herbert Art Gallery encourages creativity, exploration and fun. Gain a fresh perspective on the legend of Lady Godiva, discover your ancestors’ history in the Coventry Archives, and explore British & European paintings from the 1500s onwards. All of this is just a stone’s throw away from Coventry Cathedral.

Reviewed By bdon257 - Morpeth, United Kingdom

The Herbert Art Gallery is in a pedestrianised area adjacent to modern buildings of Coventry University. Just across the square are the ruins of Coventry Cathedral and the newer Cathedral as well as some of the city’s medieval buildings. This is a very good resource with a mix of Old Masters through to more modern exhibits, it is well laid out and with changing exhibitions it is worth returning to.
