The southwestern castle city of Cesky Krumlov is one of the Czech Republic’s finest medieval sites. Its Old Town is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site, a maze of twisting alleys built around the extensive Cesky Krumlov castle. Saunter through crooked, cobblestone streets on foot and soak up the atmosphere of this impeccably preserved medieval gem. The gushing Vltava, popular with rafting enthusiasts, darts through the town.

The exhibition itself is very well designed with correct amount of information splited across the house rooms. A suggestion: in the first two rooms maybe subnumbers can be assigned to the objects so the photography lames can understand the tools mentioned in the audio guide.

Easy and safety shuttle bus transfer between Cesky Krumlov and Prague, Hallstatt, Vienna, Salzburg, Kutna Hora, Munich, Budapest and more
Vadim was very responsive and easy to deal with over email. On the day itself, the driver was waiting for us at the hotel 15 mins before the meeting time. Van was clean and spacious and we had a fuss-free and safe trip from Hallstatt to our hotel doorstep in Cesky Krumlov.

Took a day trip from Prague to this old town as there are so many photos & bloggers reviews about it. It’s really worth a visit although it’s a 3hours ride from Prague. CK castle of course is the no 1 attraction if you want to have a panoramic view of the whole town. You can take a leisure walk around the castle compound where each & every corner gives you different view of the Old Town. Take a short climb to the top of the tower of course is the only way to have a panoramic view of the scenery. It’s definitely a wonderful place to visit !

Moldavites are the only precious stones in the world created in a meteorite impact 15 million years ago. The meteorite fell into today's Germany, but the moldavites are to found in South Bohemian region only. The exhibition of the museum tells you the whole story of meteorites, their role in planet formation, influence they had on the evolution of life and the hazard they represent to human kind today. The exposition is build as futuristic and interactive environment, funny and educative at the same time - it is more a "thing to do", than a "thing to see"... The exhibition is made completely trilingual, incl. the movie (Czech, English, German). All texts are provided in 5 more languages. Open everyday from 10 to 18.
We stayed in the rooms above the museum, so got to visit for free. Fun and quirky! Found out something new. These stones are extra terrestrial, so cool! I ended up buying myself a ring, to commemorate our 40th wedding anniversary, as well as lovely pendants for our daughters. Worth the visit. Great interactive displays.

For anyone with a passion for art, architecture and mystery, you must not miss the Mirislav Paral Gallery! I was fortunate to stay in Český Krumlov for a month, and thought I had experienced all of Český’s highlights, but this gallery, situated in the deep, dark bowels of the castle, was an exquisite surprise. Not only can you see the moving and expressive figurative sculptures and drawings of Czech artist Mirislav Paral, you can also explore the circuitous stone catacombs upon which the castle was built over the centuries. All this with a background of enchanting music! Paral’s sculptures are beautifully placed throughout the many underground rooms, lit dimly, accentuating the messages and symbolism in his dark, yet whimsical work. Paral’s life has spanned the Communist occupation of the Czech Republic through the post-Velvet Revolution era, and his work speaks deeply of this pivotal transition. So step off the crowded and beaten tourist path, and experience the raw, hidden underbelly of Český Krumlov!

EU Shuttlebus Cesky Krumlov provides fast and comfortable shuttle bus transportation service, our main transfers between Cesky Krumlov and Vienna, Salzburg, Hallstatt, Prague and other destinations.
Daniel was a great driver (and conversationalist) on our trip from Chesky Krumlov to Linz train station. Picked us up on time at our hotle and dropped us right at the door of the station. Clean, comfortable car. Daniel is such a good driver he avoided a last minute backup by a truck driver into the back of our car. We will use this service again when in the area, and tell our friends as well.
