The Vole Hall is a small local pub frequented by locals and visitors alike and you can be sure of a friendly welcome, good selection of beer and wine at reasonable prices, and you can even have a hand sliced saucisson served. Take away pizzas are available from a nearby restaurant and if you're lucky, Benoit, a great character will be there to serve you. Very enjoyable !

For 160 years, the Notre-Dame basilica has dominated the city with its vertiginous dome. It succeeds the medieval cathedral, destroyed in 1798, and owes its existence to a single man, Father Haffreingue. This modest priest, and amateur architect, devoted his life to the revival of a sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin Nautoniere, guardian figure of the city since the 7th century. Saint-Paul-de-Londres, Saint-Pierre de Rome and Saint-Louis des Invalides were his sources of inspiration.
Very old cathedral, thirteen century, a must see if you are in Boulogne, located in the old town in the fortress part of the town. To also see, the cemetery of the East and the town of Wimereux, Wissant and Guines along the coast facing England.

Nausicaa, take a plunge to discover the diversity of the marine life. Annual closing from 4 to 22 January 2021.
I have only superlatives about the aquarium. It has a lot of species, the personnel is very kind and supportive and you can learn a lot about the life underwater. What I have been impressed the most of? The great aquarium in the ocean part where you can see from small fish to sharks and a gorgeous Manta Ray. The sea lions show is also very impressive. There are a lot of other parts to speak about, but I think everyone who has the chance should visit the aquarium once.

These days , and I understand the reasons...there are few moats surrounding ancient building that actually hold water in them! This one did not disappoint. There was an array of exhibitions on offer although I am sad the locality exhibition had been moved for the Egyptian exhibition. A huge variety of exhibitions to savour., I loved the underground area which was available to explore.
