If you like horseback riding in nature, and looking for an awesome riding experience near near Melides, this is the right place for you! The trail at the beach is about 1.5 hours long and you get to ride in woods, next to the lagoon and on the beach. If you feel comfortable, you are allowed to have a short trot/canter, all depends on your experience level. You can have a private session or ride as a group. Horses are well behaved and very calm, they are suitable for beginners as well. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Enjoy the ride !

Troia Beach

A nice place to rest during a visit to Lisbon, or Portugal as a whole, especially after some crowded touristic places. This is where nature prevails: the sea, the dunes, the sand, the birds...with very few constructions and a great respect for the environment! Not far from Lisbon for a day trip, or for a few days to better enjoy this unique environment.

Santuario Nacional de Cristo Rei

Reviewed By 535family - Brighton, United Kingdom

It’s easy to get the ferry to Cacilhas and then the bus 101 up to the statue. The park is a peaceful setting with great views of Lisbon and close up to the statue - a good place for a picnic - or you can ride the lift up to the viewing platform for the best views of Lisbon and the Iconic Bridge. Even if you don’t like heights there are very high railings and you will feel safe. There are quite a few narrow steep steps to climb so going to the viewing platform would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. This is a religious place and there is a prayer room and a chapel for those who want it, but non religious folk are made to feel welcome too.

We booked a visit to the winery and palace without knowing what to expect. We were welcomed by very nice people and a great guide Rafael Andrade who just made our day! With the patience of a teacher and the energy of a young man he made history of the palace and winery fun and easy to understand . He also was the one to present us the wines afterwards and he definitely knows about wine! Thank you Rafael! Hope to see you soon again
