A virtual visit to Dr Frankensteins laboratory with Geissler Tubes, Bouquet Tubes, Railway Tubes, Jacob's Ladder, telegraph system, early x-ray tubes and many more crackling spark, electric flame laden demonstrations. Showing the education of the young Victorians, using many of the static accessories and rare artefacts, as used by them. We hope your visit here will prove interesting, stimulating and will give an insight into this largely extinct branch of science.
What an amazing and unique experience. The museum is run by a lovely couple an consists of 2 hours of demonstrations with explanation and refreshments at the halfway point. The room is small and can fit 4 visitors only. Tony is so enthusiastic and the museum is his lifes work, an entertaining and unique experience!

Come and try one of our amazing chocolate kebabs wrapped up in a freshly made crepe and various toppings, or sit down and enjoy a coffee while watching our chocolatier work in our fully open planned kitchen. All hot drinks come with a free handmade chocolate!!
Stumbled across this and popped in because I love supporting little local chocolatiers. I bought a few bars as gifts for family and friends. Have started on the raspberry and white chocolate 'shards' as well as the caramel chocolate 'shards', both of which are absolutely stunning. Really good quality and really tasty. I only wish I had bought more!

Have visited here previously and every time I’m in Whitby this is the one shop I’m constantly drawn back to. This summer purchasing a small jet pendant set in silver as my 12yr old son had his heart set on wearing one like I have (which was also purchased from here a couple of years ago) Having gone into the quaint and welcoming workshop I didn’t see a pendant like I had. I spoke to a lovely chap who owned the shop and he said he’d have a look for a suitable piece of jet. Having found this he said he’d make it for him and to return later. Upon returning he’d make a stunning pendant which made my son smile from ear to ear. Sadly last week my son caught the chain and the bail came apart and the pendant lost. Tears ensued and I got in touch with the Ebor via phone. After sending a few emails and measuring the one I had I was told by David he’d make one up especially. True to his word this was done in a couple of days and he went out of his way to pop it in the post that evening so my son would have it as quickly as possible. The next day a lovely black ember lol arrived and the pendant was with us. Thankfully my son is happy again. It’s also good to know they only work with genuine jet. Their pieces are unique and work with you to make custom pieces. The epitome of customer service. As soon as I’m back in Whitby they’ll be no doubt I’ll be visiting again.

Stopped off at the church by chance on way to the abbey and we’re glad we did as it was a most interesting place which should not be missed. The enclosed pews of various shapes and sizes and status fill the ground floor and balcony which overlook a three tier pulpit. Most unusual and fascinating. Some of the upstairs pews have external timber clad stairs adding to it’s uniqueness. Finally the surrounding graveyard offers fine views of the harbour.

It's a steep climb down to the beach passing little shops on the way. Little cottages make this place a picture postcard place and well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Open seasonally April to September Outdoor cafe situated in the heart of Sneaton Forest beside Falling Foss waterfall. Enjoy delicious home baking, Bacon Baps, Light Lunches, Baytown Coffee, Loose Leaf Teas, Stonehouse Bakery Bread and Beacon Farm Ice Cream. See you soon, Love Foss x
Fabulous outdoor tea room. Magical setting in beautiful woodland with a spectacular waterfall. Friendly staff. Food was epic. The best bacon cobs we have ever had. Tasty nachos. Great cake. Just wish now we had tried the fabulous looking scones too. Good size teapots. Fire pit with marshmallows to toast for the children. Lovely play area. Some of the seating was undercover. Our boys (6 and 3) thought it was so awesome we had to return for a second visit during our half term holiday in North Yorkshire. They are still talking about their visit to the falling foss.

Great beach stretching for miles, flat hard sand makes it great for games and playing, colourful beach huts line the prominard and the life guard station well manned with good guidance given to surfers and bathers alike. Lots of space for social distancing during COVID 19

A good walk from the scarborough spa, where they had a band playing, walk along the sea front, with plenty to see n do, the harbour is a good place to sit n watch too, the stroll to the North bay is a nice walk, with the castle ruins above you and sea to watch the dolphins playing, we were lucky enough to spot dolphins a few times, we went to visit Peasholm park, which I know from when I was a child and we used to holiday in Scarborough, many moons ago...the sea life centre is at the far point in the North Bay.... we were lucky with the weather and was able to enjoy the view in the sunshine....
