The main attraction of Calidario Terme Etrusche Resort & SPA is the historical natural spring: with its 3000 square meters of water is one of the largest natural thermal lakes in Europe, where you can swim directly where the mineral water is born and is constantly regenerated. Its temperature is subject to variations as it depends on the amount of rainfall.
Myself and my girlfriend booked for the spa treatment (there are several types of packages you could book ,some cheap, some a tad more expensive) well... On arrival I was incredibly impressed, the place oozes class and detail. I simply can’t explain everything...just a very special experience, friendly staff etc ... Do remember to take your own towels and flip flops as you will have to rent them if you forget (this can be pricey). I’ve been to a couple of these kind of places, all ok,but this just carries it all off...the tiny details just smack you in the face. Majestic.

The new swimming pools "theia" are fed by theia source sillene that flows from the depth of 1,3 meters. The average temperature of the swimming pools is between 33 degrees and 36 degrees. See the web site for opening times; closed on tuesday.
We visited these pools on a hot summer day (so, definitely not the best for a hot spring experience!) but it was lovely nonetheless. They have indoor and outdoors pools, connected to one another, a nice lawn with umbrellas and sunbeds and a nice cafe with a good choice of food (salads, sandwiches, ice creams etc). There is an area for kids and a playroom howwver, kids can also come into the main area so you are not confined there: it is just an extra option! Clean, large facilities and handy computerizes system for lockers and cafe charges so you dont have to lug your wallet around. Treatments are available we only tried to the pools. Probably even better on a less hot day but great nonetheless

Beneath "Terme della Versilia" lies a well, origin of our thermal wather used to fill the pools or to create the therapeutic peat. The most intensive treatments with this products are peat baths or peat body applications. The Spa sorrounds you in an intimate and silent environment, with blurred lights and pleasent scents. You can alternate relaxing moments in the wood made sauna or the full marble turkish bath. Then, you can refresh yourself under the waterfall shower and the scented fog shower. Before you lie on the lounges, drinking an infusion, you can try the Kneipp Therapy in two thermal water filled and walkable basins. The "Terme della Versilia" professionals are ready to suggest you the best health path, following your needs and choosing between the finest Eastern and Western inspired massage treatments.
