Mandalay Region (Burmese: မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီး, pronounced [máɴdəlé táiɴ dèθa̰ dʑí], formerly Mandalay Division) is an administrative division of Myanmar. It is located in the center of the country, bordering Sagaing Region and Magway Region to the west, Shan State to the east, and Bago Region and Kayin State to the south. The regional capital is Mandalay. In the south of the division lies the national capital of Naypyitaw. The division consists of seven districts, which are subdivided into 30 townships and 2,320 wards and village-tracts.

We booked with Min for our driver and guide service whilst in Bagan, the guide Min assigned Ms.Mar Mar was a very knowledgeable and excellent tour guide. Ms.Mar Mar is also very good in getting prime spots for sunrise and sunset in Bagan. Highly recommend that u ask for Ms Mar Mar if you need a guide in Bagan.

We visited Mandalay in Dec 2019. Excellent communication via WhatsApp, everything planned in advance. Was waiting for us when we landed @ Mandalay Airport Following day, we went on a day tour 'outside' Mandalay. Arrive on time to our hotel, brought us to all the places we requested. Friendly, not too 'in your face' but happy to talk whenever you want information etc. Perfect really! What more could you want?!

During our 10-day holiday trip in Myanmar we booked Mr. Zin as our private driver. We were very happy we found him on Tripadvisor. We started contact via email. His response was sincere and quick, which gave us a good feeling. Mr. Zin is a safe driver, a very good guide and above all is very friendly. He knows a lot about Myanmar with its culture and history. We were travelling with our 7 year old daughter and he really made her feel like a little princess. He will help you with everything you can imagine, e.g. with cold drinks, taking the best picture, even the wipes to clean your feet after a temple visit or finding a good place for lunch or a safe place to change money. If we travel again to Myanmar we will definetely book with Mr. Zin. For all reading, we would definitely recommend him!
