We go each morning in line with best wind conditions of the day and go at one time so you have a great day weather wise... We drop our guests off at Mangatepopo and pick up from Ketahahi. The times of drop off and pick ups vary depending on the weather conditions on the day and the number of guests wishing to use the service. For more details please call Adventure Lodge and Motels between 8am and 7.30pm . Pick ups usually though every hour on the hour - you have little wait time!

Superb transport to the start of the track. Our driver Dutchy (AKA John) made the drive over very entertaining while also being very knowledgeable about the mountains while also keeping safety on the track a priority. He provided a flexible pick up time at the end of the track so it took the pressure out of trying to rush to the finish to make the bus. An excellent driver and will travel with him the next time I am out on the crossing! Highly recommend!

The best part was the driver who explained a bit of history about the hike and the mountains, also sent us off with a traditional prayer before we exited the van. Be sure to have everything packed before you leave your car (including water) once you enter the van hike is on. The parking lot was convient at the end of the hike,

WOW what an incredible team of people and service! Owner Tracey gave us a wonderful and informative introduction about what to expect up the mountain, before taking us on the short shuttle ride to the start of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Her whole ethos was about whanau and warmth, and we really did feel like we were part of her family by the end of it! She was like our honorary Aunty for the day - made sure everyone was well equipped and ready to go, and also asked that we text her once we were safely down the mountain so she knew we were ok. Before we got on our way, Tracey also gave us a Karakia (Maori prayer) to bless us on our journey - it felt incredibly sacred, and honestly set the tone for what was a magical experience up Tongariro. Aside from the fact we could drive to and from the Crossing in our own car by using National Park Shuttles (which is so convenient) they are clearly so much more than transport. Would highly recommend!

Today we completed the Tongariro Crossing, Colin gave us good advise about the conditions at the start even though we had not booked with him. When we were walking out he was walking into meet his people who had booked with him and recognized us. When we were sitting waiting with our two young boys for our bus back he offered us a ride. Very grateful as both boys were tired and ready to go home. Lovely, friendly person and very willing to help, will highly recommend Colin to anyone wanting a shuttle service.

We got the 8am TCS, and the guy who picked us up was the man! So funny and was awesome at his job. Made our trip so easy and was an easy pick up at the other end for a return trip back to the car park. Definitely recommend! 10/10.
