Where but in the UK can you watch a very top professional sports league in a 20,000 seat stadium? This brought me to Watford and was not disappointed. An easy day trip from London Euston took me to Watford junction station in 15 minutes. Then a pleasant walk through center of town to The stadium. I had good seats bought through the clubs website. Watching professional footballers this close is a great experience. The stadium is nice and comfortable and a very friendly family atmosphere prevails. If you are a soccer fan you should try it!

I am a member and I use the gym and pool every week. You do need to check the timetable for multiple lane availablilty before going for a swim. The pool is well used by swimming clubs. The entire poolside is floor to ceiling glass, with views onto Verulamium park. It really is stunning. Pool length is a perfect 25m and there are plenty of lanes to use during lane swimming times. The gym is upstairs and has the same stunning views. Excellent equipment, all in good order and very clean. Anyone complaining about this centre must be very hard to please indeed !

Based in extensive grounds of approximately one acre on Butts Close, Hitchin Swimming Centre offers a wide range of leisure opportunities for all the community. The latest addition has seen the building of 3 new multi-purpose fitness studios. You can also enjoy a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks at the Splash Café.
