The room was small and dark and not as advertised on Booking.Com (no desk and chair or wardrobe). I travel frequently in Lao PDR and often stay in small town hotels - this was the first hotel that did not provide bottled water. Tjere was no housekeeping although I finally managed to get a miniscule bar of soap. Breakfast - what to say - if you can find someone they might manage to fry you an egg (note breakfast included in the booking). The place is a hangout for sex workers - persistent knocking on the door at night and illegal drugs on the premises. If this is your kind of place - well fine! Also please note that Covid 19 precautions non existent.

Newly Renovated-Pacific Vientiane Hotel open from 1st Oct 2017! In August 2017, Pacific Vientiane Hotel was renovated with the East-West Boutique Style. Creating the wonderful stay with a conformable environment is our main mission of renovation. Moreover, the meaning of our renovation is not only about new out-looking but also about new professional services. Customer’s contentment is our motivation of improvement.
~Location~ I had read that the location was good which is why I picked this hotel however whilst it wasn’t bad, I didn’t find it especially good either. ~The Room & Establishment~ The room was pretty basic with a desk, fridge and TV but no safe. There were a lot of mosquitoes on the premises which wasn’t great. The aircon dripped all night outside the window - not sure if it was from my room or above. The noise from other guests was loud and inconsiderate. The walls are very thin and it felt like I was in the bathroom with the man next door taking his ablutions!! It was seriously gross. Whilst you can’t stop the noise from outside, it would be good if management put up signs on the backs of doors/the corridors advising that before 7.30am and after 10pm to please be quiet. I’d say the photos provided by the hotel were from when the hotel was first opened and not recent. Guest photos are a slightly better guide. Hot water/pressure: I froze then fried and the pressure was not good for washing long hair. Wifi: mostly good ~The Service~ Reception staff are polite and friendly. Great service booking a taxi out to Buddha Park and with help booking our minivan to Vang Vieng. Communication: Good

Tera Hotel is a new modern Hotel with big rooms. It is very clean and the staff is very attentive and try to help you always. There is a gym with modern machines. The served food is delicious and quick delivered by the roomservice . The only point which is not so good is the location of the hotel . But the staff will bring you by electro cart near the center of the city. Highly recommended! Thumbs up !

Nice hostel, free breakfast, unlimited coffe , tea in the morning, bathroom and toilet is new, nice, cleanes, the dorm room so large, have dorm family, dorm 4 pax, dorm 8 pax, have private room cheap also. On top for dorm room have view for mekong river, for sunset, sunshine everyday, you can running in the moring, do excersice in the afternoon. Have lock in the room, is save, you can lock by your.
First of all, once we arrived, the price was different than the price showed on booking. They said because of the changing rates so I let it go because the difference wasn't much. The rooms... Is like having paper walls, you can hear everything! Breakfast was far from even average so we skipped even though we stayed there three nights. Shared toilets and showers so don't expect anything to be clean. Location is perfect, that cannot be denied.

We tried three times to find a place at the restaurant where it was possible to talk but could not find one. This could be a very nice restaurant. It is new built as a top terrace with open views. Nice staff, The menu i only in Lao with some pictures. Food is in Thai style with nice food. So far we tried a dozen of dishes and they were all very nice. The Tilapia was excellent. On a Saturday it took long time to be served but on a Monday the food was at the table after 10 minutes. The problem is the loudspeakers at full volume which destroys the pleasure even when the music is good. Worse than a disco so if You wan´t to enjoy Your guest look for another place.
