The hotel has opened in 2018 in the heart of St. Petersburg and has completely kept the historical authenticity. Our guests have a unique opportunity to live in numbers where apartments of commanders of the legendary Pavlovsk regiment of leyb-guard once were located. The hotel is only 5-15 min walk from the most important sights of the Northern Capital – the Hermitage, Palace Square, the Summer garden, Church of the Savior on Blood, the Russian Museum, Mikhaylovsky theater, and you will also to enjoy a magnificent panorama from the promenade of the water area of the Neva River and views of movable bridges.
Very helpful staff. Highly recommend. We chose this hotel for its perfect situation in the town. Very flexible in this time of pandemic. Do not hesitate to book here. For sure we will book again there if we travel to st Peterbourg.

Hotel 'Friends by the House of Books' is located in a historic building, next to the famous Zinger House. Virtually, all the most beautiful and interesting places of St. Petersburg are within walking distance. The hotel occupies the fifth and sixth (attic) floors of the building located on the Griboedov Canal, 19. Unfortunately, at present time there’s a need to climb the stairs on foot. On the lower floor of the hotel there is a reception desk and a living room with a kitchen corner, and on the top floor - a living room with the colorful wall, which shows cartoon and fairy tales characters and a panoramic window. The interiors of the hotel mainly made of wood. The walls are covered with wallpaper. The color scheme creates a feeling of warmth and comfort. Most rooms have access to shared facilities located on each floor.
This bookstore is located on Nevsky, located on a corner very visible. You will see on the window Singer cafe this is the bookstore. Lower level books in Russian, main level books in various languages, souvenirs, largest assortment of post cards, calendars, stationary items, and decorative chocolates that can be given as gifts. The second level has a cafe and books. The bookstore closes at midnight, so after sightseeing for the day this is a fun place to visit. It’s easy to find a beautiful building see the picture, and you’ll notice it immediately. During our stay in St. Petersburgh I would visit this bookstore daily. They do charge for their bags, and most of my souvenirs were purchased at this bookstore. I noticed the souvenir books purchased in the museums were cheaper at this bookstore.

Pros: location, absolutely. Rooms are clean, furniture cheap but new. Excellent breakfast. Cons: The hotel is located inside a business centre: there is no lobby, no lobbybar, no rest area. The reception ladies are not trained to be customer-oriented. They seem to be fired from a soviet theatre and hired at this hotel, all of them. Talking to customers as if we are a disturbance to their vacation. Never told me there is a minibar in the room: I never even imagined there was one but they asked if I used it at checkout. Keys get demagnetized, customer is to blaim, of course. Unfriendly attitude in general. Aircon never gets cleaned: you can feel strange odor every time you switch it on. Complained, was told that a technician ''will see it on Monday" but I left on Sunday. Amenities really cheap. Toilet paper: two rolls for three days for two people. Bedside lamp burnt out: complained by email, email receives by reception (they confirmed), never got a reply, never fixed.

Great different hotel, great staff, excellent breakfast. The rooms are comfort enough and big but the look is so cool! Our room had 2 beautiful windows to the street, but is a very quiet street. Only you have to walk a bit to the metro. But is 10 minutes to the main train station and 15 to the center.

In the begining of March 2017 the "Friends" team opened a hotel, which will appear to be one of the largest hotel of the network, and for sure will become another comfortable and affordable place to stay for guests of St. Petersburg. The new hotel name is "Friends on Fontanka", as it is located on the Fontanka river enbankment, alongside the famous Big Drama Theatre. Reception desk is located on the ground floor. After check in guests get to the upper floors using the lift. Each room has a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Room features comfortable and modern design and mostly overlook either the quiet courtyard of the building, or not very busy lane. There are also a few rooms that has a view over Fontanka river. On the third floor there is a cozy cafe, where guests can order a breakfast or a snack after a busy day in the city. In addition, each floor has a small kitchen, where there is the necessary utensils, a microwave oven, fridge and a tap with drinking water.
I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Very good location of the hotel in the center few minutes from Nevsky prospect. Nice and friendly staff. Rooms are not very big but comfortable. I booked with an exception price. Hope they will have the same deals furthermore.

The largest hotel of the chain offers its guests the following types of rooms: deluxe, economy class and standard. It is located in the very center of St. Petersburg – near Moskovsky Railway Station. The main artery of the city Nevsky Avenue is only 50 meters away from the hotel. The most popular tourist attractions await you there – Kazansky Cathedral, the Church on the Spilled Blood, the Palace Square and the State Hermitage – just to name a few, as well as many other places of interest, restaurants and night clubs. The hotel’s location near “Ploschad Vosstania” metro station and the main railway station of the city is extremely convenient for business guests of the northern capital. The guests can use a safe, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a water cooler, an iron and a washing machine with all required household chemicals. All these are free of charge. The peculiarity of this hotel is the conference hall with all the necessary equipment for various events.
This was even worse than "you get what you pay for". Upon arrive they charge you an extra "admin fee" just to check you in, which is not stipulated at the time of the booking. The room smelt and the bathroom was even worse. The bed was uncomfortable and you could feel the springs starting to poke through and the bedding and towels were old and well past there use by date. Hot water worked only every second day and still then you were lucky and it did not matter what time of day you tried it (including 3.30am!). Staff were the most unpleasant that I have ever come across and most times refused to even acknowledge you when you walked past the reception area. Cleaning was none existent even if you put the sign out and on day 4 we had to ask that they send a cleaner in. Would never go back.

We opened a new mini-hotel Artbox, dedicated to contemporary art, which is located in the historical center of St. Petersburg, just a five-minute walk from the Peter and Paul fortress, where the great history of the city has began. It's very close to the Neva embankment, where you can admire the drawbridges — a unique St. Petersburg symbol, the legendary Lenfilm Studio and the Austrian square. We stay informed of all the cultural events of the city! But there is not just a small range of them:) We offer comfortable rooms for two, three and even four persons. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. All rooms are equipped with a "smart home" system, which allows you to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Throughout the Artbox works free wireless Internet. There is a kitchenette with a microwave, electric kettle and even a coffee maker. It’s available to order delicious breakfasts and dinners from the menu and refreshing beverages are available 24 hour.
