Bochum is a city with a history of mining and steel production and is now characterised by culture, museums and events. Our new GHOTEL hotel & living Bochum is located opposite the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum and guarantees a stay in a modern environment. Whether for business or leisure, your stay here will combine comfort, exciting activities in the daytime and easy access to lots of highlights in a lovely city.
The Hotel is relatively new still fresh, rooms are comfortable, front desk and bar staff are super nice and helpful, but housekeeping let’s the place down. On arrival I checked into my room and found the food from the previous guest in the fridge, soap dispenser was more or less empty, there was a hint of soap in the bottom of the bottle. Second day, came back to the room, the unused towels were removed from the bathroom, I was left with 1, I went to reception to get a foot matt as the bathroom floor does get quite wet, so you need one (the one I had also disappeared into thin air). Minibar was not refilled (not sure if it is policy not to refill it, if it is than I was not made aware of that) and soap was not refilled either, but I had some with me so I used that. So due to this not the brightest star in the Hotel Universe. If nothing else would be free I might stay here again, fair well knowing that housekeeping works on a standard you’d expect in a hostel.

Central location handy for shops, bars, restaurants. Short walking distance to Dortmund Central Train Station. Reception friendly. I arrived too early to check in but was able to leave luggage in hotel until check in. Room clean, modern, ideal for a short stay. No complaints.

The new Super8 Oberhausen is the ideal location for business travellers and families. Not only in terms of access to the transport network. The Centro – one of Europe’s largest shopping malls is just a 5-minute walk away. You are right in the heart of things – yet can still enjoy an oasis of relaxation.
I made a booking for this hotel but when I arrived I was told that it was closed after that night and informed that I had no booking there. After investigating, the receptionist found that I was rebooked into a sister hotel instead. The hotel had not contacted me about the change, I have contacted the Nectar Hotels who claim that they did not know about this. This is bad behaviour on all parties, I should have been notified and offered the opportunity to change my reservation.

Maybe not the standard business hotel, but for sure a great visit to this special and historic location. Wifi worked OK, no breakfast, parking place available, great local restaurant in about 10 minutes.

ZEN Restaurant im MINSU Hotel Mit ausgewählten Zutaten aus der chinesischen Medizin wollen wir Ihnen vor allem die frische, wohltuende Küche des Landes näher bringen.
I have stayed here 4 or five times and have found it clean, nicely decorated and reasonable value - no bar, no restaurant and not that close to the center but - OK, good enough to come back to as a second/third choice.... BUT - I was always given a room at the front until this week when, as well as them indulging in the local racket of doubling the prices during the trade fairs, I arrived late and was given a room at the back which is 30m from a busy railway- the trains run throughout the night and it is impossible to sleep - there is no noise insulation and there are external lights on all night. Simply terrible and should not be allowed to continue to rip people off - a night’s sleep is pretty much all I ask from a hotel room and you will never get this in room 3C at the Minzu Hotel. Don’t take the risk...

A strange place built of containers. We choose it as all other hotels in this are asked for about Euros 200 a night. This place charged only E 65 without breakfast accepting also credit cards. Very kind staff! Room (No 1) ok but one bed requires a new mattress, as it is completely outworn. A strange area, semi industrial and strange people hanging around.

A very peaceful place within walking distance to a nice restaurant. The room was big and airy and very clean. Free sparkling water on the table. It took us a while to understand that there were two codes; one for each one of our devices... The breakfast offered a large variety of food and we liked the friendly service. Recommended!

Everything was going well, we checked in after waiting an hour for an angry German lady to appear. She showed us to our apartment which was spacious and a pleasure to be in where we continued to drink. After a while some of the group decided to go out and party with men dressed in leather while the remaining 3 of us settled down to sleep off our travelling adventure. I was woken to screams of horror coming from Tony's room. I thought he was having a morphine induced nightmare and went in to comfort him but he was absolutely distraught, he had been violated by a bedbug. We called the angry german lady to come and assist bit she was more concerned with the fact that Chernobyl Dan had been smoking in the kitchen than the fact that our dear Tony had been assaulted by a critter. After everyone had calmed dowm she begrudgingly moved us into another apartment but the damage had already been done and to this day Tony is still receiving counselling.

Stayed there in Summer 20014 when we had to be at Weetze airport (NRN) for an early flight: Friendly decorated rooms and a spacious and well equipped shared kitchen + a nice shared living room, even a garden. There was quite some noise to be heard from the main road, but new glazing was apparently forthcoming... Be aware: The friendly owners do not live there, so you are depending on check-in agreements! We were on our own and felt very comfortable and welcome. (Only the arrival of some very late guests who let it out on us that the managers were not around to their disposal, was a bit irritating.)
