Home to both the midnight sun (with constant daylight from April to July) and the northern lights, North Norway is a rugged land of steep mountains, deep fjords and scenic coastline, making it a great place for outdoor adventures like dog sledding, snowmobiling and wildlife safaris. It's also the ancient home of the Sami people, 3,000 of whom live (along with 100,000 reindeer) at Kautokeino, Norway's largest municipality at over 3,700 square miles.

Welcome to Winter Wonderland! 20 dreamlike rooms uniquely carved by master ice sculptors from around the world. Enjoy an unforgettable dinner and a night cap in the ice bar. Sleep safely and warm in thermal sleeping bags, in complete arctic stillness. Our snow hotel is open 20.12-20.04. Our Gamme cabins are open all year round. Inspired by the traditional Lapland hunting and fishing hut “gamme” found in the Sami areas of the Arctic. All cabins are equipped as small jewels - air conditioning, underfloor heating, bathroom with Aurora wall. Be sure to visit our Winter Park: our reindeer, dogyard with its 200 huskies. Stop by Gabba Cafe for lunch. Prebook and enjoy a 3 course dinner in the magnificent Laven restaurant. Last but not least, visit the surreal Snowhotel. We also arrange northern lights tours, snowmobile safaris, ice fishing and snowshoe walking tours, the infamous Kirkenes King Crab Safari and numerous Husky activities.
Staying at the Snowhotel is such an incredibly unique experience! I highly recommend it! The staff are amazing and make your experience super personalized. I stayed one night in an ice room and one night in a cabin! The dogsledding tour was so much fun… same with the king crabs (I don’t think I have ever tasted crabs that good in my life)! The cabin was beautiful with an awesome view and super clean. The ice room has shared facilities in the main building just s short walk away from the ice area (it is attached to the the ice hotel so you don’t have to walk outside). They give you a sheet and a sleeping bag and I slept 8+ hours and never felt cold! Breakfast and dinner are provided and the food was excellent! If you are looking for a super unique experience it is definitely worth the trip!

In Ballstads most sunrich place you find Solsiden Brygge. Ballstad is known for it beautiful nature and its good fishing. Situated outside the range of traffic, Solsiden Brygge can offer 12 rorbu-appartments with high standard. The brygge is situated between to activ fish fabrics. There is also a fishing boat named Vibeke that has capasity for 9 persons. Vibeke takes you on deep sea fishing 2 times a day. Welcome to Solsiden-brygge!
My extended family went last week to Ballstad and Solsiden brygge for a rorbu vacation. One of the purpose was to be United at the same premeses/ location. During the check in the staff started to explain how to find our rorbu by car in a another part of Ballstad. I said this is a mistake. We have order a rorbu at Solsiden brygge, then the staff explained how impresis and how limited information i had been through as a preperation. In addition i had also been order through Booking.com and then i was responsible for everything by myself. I didn’t understand Solsiden brygge was some kind of a Airbnb aggregator i Ballstad. If I was aware of that i would used another company or order direct in Airbnb myself. I informed the Owner how dissatisfied i was and they offer us a hot tub for the evening.as a compensation. This is the reason way the rating not ended with 1

Outermost on beautiful Kjerringøy you find Kjerringøy Rorbusenter, where we offer accommodation in fishermans cabins, fishing trips and other activities in spectacular surroundings.
Just had a day trip and drove out to the end of Kjerringøy just to discover this pearl of a place. Had coffee and ice cream and popcorn. Very friendly staff. Makes such a difference to get a welcoming feeling. Worth a visit if you’re on the island. (Be aware, Very narrow driving path getting out there. )

Båtsfjord Brygge is a deep sea fishing destination, located in the heart of Båtsfjord since 2012. We offer accommodation in hotel rooms and in fishermen's cabins, deep sea fishing safaris and are specialized in preparing delicious local dishes.
Visited for 3 nights on an organised photography trip to the area. The Brygge was perfect for our stay, the rooms comfortable and clean, and the food was superb. The hospitality of the owners couldn’t be faulted.

This place is amazing and seems to be brand new. Elegant rorbuar direct to the sea and the havbrugcenter. We rented a cabin actually for 4 , as there a bedroom and a alkove above with two beds. Huge livingroom with sofa and two chairs and access to the terrace. Kitchen with coffeefacilities and table with four chairs. You collect ypur breakfastbasket in the morning and can enjoy at your own room. Lots of food, salmon, cheese and fresh fruit. There was enough for lunch as well. Its only 11km from the small city, but the perfect choice and close to Torghattan. Dont look any further. The restaurant is excellent too.

Staying here cause it was the only Hotel thaat was availible in Harstad for the weekend. The stay is sort of cheap but no Break fast or reseption. So it should be cheap. Empty soap dispensers and a non functional TV. Dirty windows and generally worn out room. Price is low but with no service what so ever it is bad.

Rundreise i Lofoten. Noe enkel rorbu med enkel standard. Ekstra Betaling for sengetøy. Bra lokal meny, men gjennomføringen er ikke bra. Styr unna restaurant. Flott beliggenhet, ikke kveldssol. Her finnes veldig mange bedre alternativer i Lofoten
