New York is a huge metropolis that attracts people from around the world, but at its heart, the diverse neighborhoods are what make the city so special. From the southern tip of Manhattan in the bustling Financial District to Harlem up north, every block is a destination in its own right with surprises around every corner. To really get a sense of the Big Apple, there’s no better way to experience the city than exploring a neighborhood.

Really impressed with location, staff and cleanliness of these apartments. Cleaning staff were meticulous with freshly made beds and towels every single day. Front of house guys really helpful and a real friendly vibe throughout. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else whilst in New York! Thanks for a really memorable stay.

During the daily service, the cleaners either broke, threw away, or stole my new, branded cologne. I asked hotel staff about this, and they said they would follow-up. They never did, and were dismissive of my claim. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

Henn na Hotel New York will be welcoming guests in Summer 2021.
We stayed in a double-double room. It was modern and spacious, with plenty of room for our luggage and to walk around. Robes and slippers were provided. We liked the large countertop space where we were able to easily eat takeout food. We used the bedside table as a stool for extra seating. Loved the heated Toto Washlet loo seat/bidet combo. Also the animatronic T-Rex in the lobby! Cons: The heating was extremely loud. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim. The bathroom fan was also very loud and could not be turned off when the light was on. The connection to screencast streaming services to the room TV didn't work, despite the maintenance guy trying to fix it. Note: There is a decent-sized refrigerator in the room, but no microwave or coffee maker. If you want a kettle for heating water you have to reserve it in advance, as there is only one for the whole hotel! (It's a nice one, though!)

The building is in an ideal location, in close proximity it most of south Manhattans tourist attractions as well as many tasty restaurants and takeaways. The apartments are comfortable and will equipped and offer incredible Wi-Fi signals. There are loads of travel options short walks away from the building including, subway, helicopter and ferry.

The Leo House deserves a warm recommendation from us. I stayed 5 days in May with my daughter (15 years). This place is not a traditional hotel but a guest house. So if you expect daily cleaning, room service and other hotel amenities - this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for affordable accommodation in the middle of Manhattan - then you should definitely consider The Leo House. Rooms are spotless clean (but dated), beds are comfortable, wifi is excellent, breakfast (mon-fri) is good, staff members are welcoming and helpful, situation is perfect in a local Chelsea neighborhood - less than 100 meters from the subway. We will be back...

I’m leaving this review four months after I returned from my trip I’ve just remembered to do it. First of all I want to compliant the staff Mike especially, a New Yorker born and bread from Greenwich Village was a really helpful. Nothing was to much effort his customer service skills are excellent, and he made you feel very welcome from the moment you arrived. Also there is an Irish guy can’t remember his name who’s a joint partner in the business who was equally as nice. The rooms are only small however there really snug and cosy and for a sole traveller there okay. The location is excellent right in the heart of Chelsea, near the Meat Packing District,Greenwich Village and the West Village. The wifi also was good throughout my short stay, the only slightly negative thing is the stairs you have to take get up to reception, there’s approx 30 stairs and with your luggage etc it can be quite the challenge. The showers were also good and Mike let me have a shower after I ‘checked out’ as my flight wasn’t till late in the evening and I’d been out all day. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

From the moment you see the waterfront from the roof, you’ll know you made the right choice. Your Sonder comes with its own kitchenette, a dining nook, and a Peloton in select spaces. There’s also a (seasonal) rooftop pool to go along with that waterfront view we mentioned, a fitness center, a golf simulator, and a co-working space. You’ll be right across from The Battery — a waterfront oasis with 195,000 square feet of perennial gardens. The New York Stock Exchange, Wall Street, and One World Trade Center are also a quick walk away.
I’ve not enjoyed previous trips to NY as much because of the tiny rental spaces. Sonder was big in comparison to those. Windows that opened a bit for air, a gorgeous rooftop w landscaping and a pool, nice kitchen w everything that you would need if you wanted to cook (we didn’t). Washer and dryer were nice to have to, nice updated bathroom. Linens a bit stiff but clean and all white so they can be cleaned well, which I love. Couch a tiny bit beat up but overall super place in great bldg. Highly recommend. Nearby train stops, easy access, short and pretty walk to get there.

Stayed there about ten years ago an never wrote a review. Old, but very clean accommodations. Excellent price and the location is FANTASTIC. My daughter laughed at the tiny size of our room which was probably 7 feet across. It had two twin beds (which seemed narrower than a normal twin) and a couple of wall locker type closets. If I recall it had a window air conditioner. Bathrooms were communal and male and female bathrooms alternated floors. We walked to Times Square about a mile away passing Grand Central Station halfway there. The Empire State building is about a half mile away. If you are traveling to San Francisco, you might check out the Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel. It is much more like a regular hotel in amenities and price, but still a great deal for Veterans.
