A spot of white in the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, the island of Naxos is a unique blend of ancient ruins and beach culture. The largest of the Cycladic Islands, Naxos is the childhood home of none other than Zeus, king of the gods. Upon arrival in Naxos, hike over a causeway to Palatia, where the Portara, a stone gateway to an ancient temple that no longer exists, stands alone, the symbol of the island. At sunset, the views of the island, and the sea beyond, are breathtaking.

Νaxos Olive & Home is located in the rich plain of Eggares next to the olive museum in an olive grove full of nature , where you can enjoy your breakfast and also the serenity of the landscape. It is only 6 kilometres away from Naxos. Naxos Olive & home provides free Wi-Fi in all areas. There is a beautiful view to the garden and to the Plain of Eggares from all the balconies.
When we arrived after many hours of an exhausting journey and entered the grounds of the "Olive and Homes", a place of peace and quiet surprised us. Our appartment was big and bright with nice simple furniture. The large terrace offered wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and the mountains. The sea is not to be seen, but there is a lonely beach only about 2 km away. The apartment was very clean and remained so because it was cleaned unusually often. The next morning after our arrival we enjoyed our first breakfast in a beautiful olive garden. Since then we have fallen in love with the "Olives and Homes". The owner lovingly prepares a different breakfast every morning, which is more like a "brunch" and is so rich that a further meal is not possible before the evening. She fulfils every wish before you even say it and is one of the most hospitable people we know. We say thank you to her for 2 weeks for an unforgettable accommodation in Summer 2020.

Une adresse sympa fin septembre pour un prix imbattable. Très bien situé en bord de plage, acceuil sympa, aménagements sans charme particulier et propreté un peu juste. L extérieur mériterait d être mis en valeur. Des resto et supérettes à proximité.

Located in an agricultural area, this beautiful and quiet place is perfect when you want to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. I had the room at the back, which is spacey and has a shower, kitchenette, and porch. During daytime, the only sound I could hear were the sheep bleating from time to time. At night it was even quieter, with the cicadas singing (and one one occasion, two beech martens squeaking nearby when they fought over territory). The neighbour has a dog, but the dog only barked for a minute when I arrived and was silent the rest of the time. Due to organisational issues, I never met the owner, which was not a problem as everything worked out perfectly. One day when I was away, he brought some delicious tomatoes, zucchini and eggs to the apartment, which made a wonderful omelette. The whole eastern coast is beautiful, with some secluded beaches, fish taverns, the mountains for hiking, and the remains of the old emery mining operation (including a still-standing cable transport from the 1920s). I can highly recommend this place, and I would stay here again without hesitation.

First of all, Katarina is a friendly person who welcomes you at your arrival by ferry, which is great... but after that, she is always in a rush and it is hard to ask question :( But, my room wasn't ready (other customer stayed longer because their ferry was cancelled) so I got a very small room, no extra blanket, no information in the room about wifi. She told me that I would get an upgrade for my room for the next two other nights I was spending there. Well, the upgraded room was not that great. The room looked to be cleaned very fast (some ferry ticket still under the bed). The room was noisy... I don't know what it was (plumbing or thing knoking on the roof), but it was hard to sleep well with that intermittent noise. Even the sound from adjacent rooms was easy to ear. So even if the place is located in the old town of Naxos, I you prefer stay elsewhere the next time I will go there.

I believe this is a family run hotel and the friendly vibe it has would support that. We asked for some slight alteration to our room and they were only to happy and quick to oblige. Really friendly staff who may be extended family members. Always smiling and helpful. Rooms were immaculately clean, modern surprisingly big. It’s just a 5 min walk into the port area of Keramoti and 5 mins to a good selection of beaches. Great location if you are staying in Keramoti. Highly recommend this place if you are staying in this part of the world.
