Situated on the Dutch border, Limburg is the easternmost province in Flanders, and the foremost fruit-growing region in the country. The lively, friendly market town of Hasselt is the provincial capital. It boasts a car-free historic center, with building dating back as far as the 11th century. Genk is another recommended stop. The city of 63,000 people is home to a zoo, a planetarium, De Maten nature reserve and Bokrijk, an open-air museum of 19th century Flemish architecture.

A little difficult to find as the name differs from the outside building and sign. The restaurant was very good and service excellent from a family member. French food Saturday night and reasonably priced and a good wine list. Closed Sunday night. The room was newly renovated and very comfortable. All in all a nice experience.

We went to Limburg province in January 2017 for several days to getaway from the noise of a big city. So we were looking for a quiet hotel with an indoor pool/SPA. This proved to be a great choice. The hotel is located in a quiet area, so no restaurants or bars or crowds around. It has its own restaurant though, which serves excellent breakfasts and dinners (not sure about lunches). The hotel also offers bikes to rent, which is great as Limburg is, indeed, a place to explore by bike. Naturally, it has free parking for those travelling by car. Hosts are very friendly and rooms are nicely clean. We had a two-floor room overlooking the street. Highly recommend.

Due to the COVID19 situation it wasn't possible to travel far from home. We found this lovely place, child friendly with welness. The first night we enjoyed the home delivered food from a restaurant not to far away. The room was provided with a table and chairs perfect for a dinner in the room. The second night we ordered food in the Hoeve and we must say it was very good. This combined with 2 healthy but sturdy breakfasts makes this place a place to come back to. Definitly would recommend for young families with children!

Cute family hotel with own restaurant nearby Maasmechelen Village, Hasselt and Maastricht. Really nice area for bicacling and enjoying a nice walk
We stayed in the small 6 bedroomed Hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Our room no.6 was on the top.floor and was very spacious and comfortable . I think all.the rooms have been recently modernised as we saw in no 4 aswell . It was very hot weather while we were there so the fan in the room was appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful and served in a very pretty conservatory looking out onto the large garden at the back of the building. There are no rooms for socialising in but in good weather the outside area is very attractive. There is also a fridge and glasses etc on the landing which you can use. Unfortunately the restaurant, which has a very good reputation, was not open as it only opens Friday to Monday. We would have loved to have had a meal in the pretty garden. There is a bicycle shed were everyone left their bikes at night. The shed had plenty sockets to charge electric bikes and a metal.bar to.lock your bike to. Friendly staff and a quaint place to stay.

Tucked away in a quiet alley in the lovely city Borgloon lays Kirisavan Bed &Breakfast, We strive for a comfy luxurious within a yet understated decor. We ‘ve highlighted the vibe of the historic bones of the building with warm and rustic finishes to give you a homey, boutique Bed &Breakfast. Our rooms, kitchen and bar, and other amenities make us one of Limburg's more modern and comfortable rooms
We went to Kirisavan with the whole family for a surprise party for my dad’s birthday. Everything was super well arranged, the Thai food was delicious! Mo and Bart did a great job - so welcoming and paying attention to all details! My parents stayed over in the bnb afterwards and had an amazing breakfast and walk through the town. THANK YOU, we had a great time!

B&B Gaudium XII is located in a cozy alley in the historic center within walking distance of the tourist sights and cozy restaurants and the famous antique market. We have 3 comfortable guest rooms with their own sitting area and bathroom. In the morning we serve you a rich breakfast buffet with local products and homemade delicacies. Also enjoy the peace and quiet in our cozy city garden.
We had a wonderful stay at Gaudium XII! We arrived on a Saturday for an overnight stay and to attend the Antique Market on Sunday. We were warmly greeted by Anja, shown to our room and given a welcome drink. We were celebrating our anniversary and she had a little surprise for us too. Room was comfortable and exactly what we needed. Very modern and clean. There is no parking right at the hotel, but there is a garage very close and it was convenient to park there. Breakfast was fabulous and due to covid was served in the room. There is a lovely garden that we hope to come back and enjoy someday with beverages from a well stocked honesty bar. Many thanks for a wonderful stay! We hope to be back again!

Kanne’s high street offers typical Belgian restaurants and one grayish green building stands out. Industrial design with a most industrious team! Chef, front of house - all works in rhythm and rhyme ... you can tell it is a young start up but boy ... promising. Clear menu with good spread in a promisingly small menu. We took the daily main: veal tomahawk - superb with vegetables and a deliciously refreshing Asian broth to start! Go and give them a chance - you’ll be back - good local Pinot Noir too! Go team go! Os thanks for the bone - happy dog!
