Warm and friendly family run hotel
Reviewed By 13AstroboyThe rooms are compact and may need a make over but we found ours comfortable (although the pillows are hard) and clean, (3 in our room and it worked well) the breakfasts were great- and were always hot, you can have japanese or western and the coffee was good. We had a dinner here on the last night (Sukiyaki) which was sensational so we kicked ourselves for not doing this earlier on. The staff are lovely and very helpful even though the language barrier was slightly awkward we had fun sorting things out. Internet wifi worked well for me even in our room, we also had a en-suite which is tiny but workable, dont expect room service or high end bling its a family run business and yes the building is tried but its clean and in easy reach of happo ski fields, the shuttle bus stops right outside the hotel and there are plenty of ski hire shops around, also across the road is a grog store and down the road is a Lawsons (like 7eleven), plus there are lots of Restaurants around. If we come back here we would stay at this hotel again

Friendly hostess at dog friendly guest house
Reviewed By WinnieL467Stayed here on the way to Jigokudani Monkey Park. Exceptionally friendly hostess. Very accommodating to our dog and our lack of Japanese language. Setting is in beautiful laid back ski village. Happy to return.

Reviewed By sokmunaCosy guesthouse near bus terminal. Clean and hygiene facility. Love the tatami flooring and futon beds. Will recommend to friends travelling to Mt Fuji with families! They also provide free breakfast and the buns were tasty!

Ok For A Dog Run
Reviewed By inatawaliI’ve never stayed overnight because the setup is like a hotel. We usually stay overnight at different nearby dog hotels that offer small cottages with a yard for your dog to go outside. We go to Woof only for their dog run. It’s a large facility with lots of open space and a swimming pool. Their cafe for lunch/dinner is mediocre. The worst thing about Woof is they’ve recently instituted a rule that you can’t have your dog on a retractable leash. I can only assume there must have been some kind of accident which the facility is over-thinking by placing the blame on a retractable leash. I was forced to use a standard leash that offers way less control of your dog. It’s a ridiculous rule that makes me give the place 3 stars instead of 5.

Reviewed By Adventurer626893It's a 3 story Chalet log house with every modern convenience you can images and also all normal resort services are available from the Hakuba Hotel Group, even though the location is on a mountain in the forest. Very peaceful.

Excellent ski hotel
Reviewed By Marilyn CGetting to the hotel is easy. From the yudanaka train station, take a complimentary shuttle bus to the Ryuoo Ski Park. Upon arrival call the hotel (you can get the staff at the Ryuoo Ski information centre to help) and they will come pick you up within minutes. The hotel is located beside the ski slopes and chair lift so all you have to do is get on the skis and off you go! The rooms are simple but very clean. We stayed on the 5th floor and had a room with a good view of the slopes. No toilets ensuite but the shared toilets and onsen are spotlessly clean. The restaurant on the ground floor serves pretty good pizza and is a popular choice for many skiers during meal times. Breakfast is simple and you have both Japanese fare and western breads on the buffet spread. Staff are very service oriented and we totally enjoyed our stay here.

Reviewed By nori1223漢方の宿と聞いて宿泊しました。ご夫妻の暖かなおもてなし、宿に流れるBGM(客層によって変えていらっしゃるそうです。)、漢方薬を使った秘法の湯、漢方茶、ご主人が書かれてきた山の絵画、長野県の地場産の物を使った食事、全てが圧巻です。 お風呂は短時間で汗が噴き出し、お茶は美味しくたくさん飲んでしまいました。夕食はボリューミーで食べきれなかったのが残念でしたが、どれも地場産で素材の味が活かされておりとても美味しかったです。いつも夜は胃もたれしてしまう私ですが、食後にオーナーさんとの楽しい会話（姓名判断と体調診断等）ゆっくり漢方の湯に浸かり、翌朝とてもスッキリと目覚めました。 旅の計画を一緒に考えてくださったり、私たちの旅行に合わせて音楽を流したり、食事が用意されるなど、とても親切にして頂きました。

So nice and good staff to service

Reviewed By lobowongLocation of the resort is good. It's just a few min from the lake and cable car station. The road is difficult to locate after sunset. The passage road is hidden and dark. Overall service is excellent.
