What a little hidden gem, a home from home. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with facilities to accommodate your every need. There’s also a lovely roof terrace with gorgeous views where you can go and relax at leisure. It’s very laid back and the service impeccable. We was made very welcomed, so much so that when I encountered flight issues, I dashed back to spend a few extra days. The beach and bars are all nearby and Bailey is always available to take you wherever you need to go. There’s free WiFi, towels provided and iron etc. All the little important extras! We travelled up on the Knuttsford Express and they offer a pick up service if requested which is cheaper than the taxis outside. Breakfast is limited due to Covid19 but you have access to the kitchen to make your own meals. Will definitely return in the future. Massive thanks to Bailey and his daughter for looking after us.

Food is medicine - we loved our food retreat today - high end culinary experience eating from the earth. Chef Alicia served up a high quality 4 course meal— some of the best delicacies I have ever eaten. We felt great supporting a local family

Loved my stay! It was clean, I felt very comfortable. The kitchen was an added asset and I loved the fact there was 2 updated bathrooms. The pool was great & I used the guest pass for the private beach!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Enrico and his family at La Familia in November 2019. The grounds are lush and the facilities are humble, yet stylish. The hospitality was incredible and the hosts are very friendly and down-to-earth. Enrico helped facilitate local travel and logistics and is a wealth of information about the area. Furthermore, if you are into reggae music and/or ganja culture I think you will really enjoy it. Also if you are a dog lover like me, you will be right at home. I wish I could've stayed longer, and I definitely plan to return!

We offer two rooms with ac and free wifi . Because we care a lot about nature we have put solar panels and a solar boiler on the roof to provide electricity and hot water . Our bnb is situated on a hill at the border of Ocho Rios , it is a safe and quit place and we enjoy living between the Jamaicans . We also offer personalised tours because we love to show our guests the beauty of the Island . So instead of staying in a large resort or hotel we offer you the opportunity to enjoy the real Jamaica , where you meet the people that live and work there , enjoy the beauty of the Jamaican nature and you get to find out why we love Jamaica so much . So if you want to enjoy an all-inclusive stay , we are not the place for you . But if you want to get the feeling of Jamaica , we will be glad to answer all your questions
If you like to explore Jamaica, this is the place to be. This dutch couple lives on this Island for many years and they are still intersted in visiting nice places. They drive you around with a smile. Every breakfast starts with a smile. We booked for several weeks and saw a lot of beatiful waterfalls, beatiful beaches, markets, plantages, etc. Rita is famous for her cooking. The B&B is located uphill with banana- and palmtrees. You must drink the local RED STRIPE beer and the famous RUM PUNCH. It rains often during the night, so everything is clean and fresh in the morning. To us , Jamaica is an unforgettable Island, the rumour that it is dangerous is noncense. we only met friendly Jamaicans.

So my partner and i were celebrating our 3 rd anniversary and decided to book a weekend in negril. We decided we would not do all inclusive as it is sometimes not worth the money as we would be off property exploring negril for most of the time. We saw this lovely bed and breakfast in a prime area in Negril and after viewing the pictures on Booking.com, we thought "Bingo!". We were so excited to commence our celebration. We got to Negril at 8:30 ok and spent 15 minutes driving from one property to the next to confirm where we were to stay because when we first drove in to Roots Cafe Rooms, nothing looked as it did on the website. There was no security and the gate was open to admit anyone. Not just that, but the car park was a piece of lot just beyond the gate. First red flag for us. Upon arrival the property looks like a" tennament yard" for want of a better word, extremely unkempt and in need of paintwork. We decided to keep an open mind and ventured in to brave the unknown. We eventually found our way to the reception area and a middle aged lady, dressed as she would for Saturday house cleaning did not even stand to admit us, but rather asked" you have reservation". We replied in the affirmative and asked to be shown to the room before committing as we felt deceived by what we had seen thus far. Best idea ever . The room is nothing as shown online with chipped and worn outdated furniture. Prepare to wake up to a view of zinc rooftops and zinc sheds. We kindly asked to speak to the manager as she wanted to cancel the reservation but wanted to bring it to their attention of the deception at work. Worse service ever received. The Manager, whose name i cannot remember for the life of me, was called via whatsapp by the middle aged receptionist. She proceeded to berate and belittle me for making the choice to stay elsewhere and it was only after getting as rude and loud as her did she authorize the cancellation of the resort. Stay away from this place, horrible service, horrible rooms and unsecured property. We left and were so glad to have done so as after driving approximately 10 minutes from "hell", we found Rayon Hotel. There we were treated to the best service, accommodations and dining experience, at 9:30 at night, when all are usually grumpy and ready to retire home, but that will be reviewed in detail in another post.. There are waaaay better options than Roots Cafe Rooms.. choose those options
