Idyllically located in the picturesque Irish countryside, just a short drive from Kilkenny City, Avalon House Hotel is a historic manor dating back to the 19th century which has been delicately and beautifully restored. Featuring both old and new world influences, this wonderful and unique food haven is a fabulous option for a quiet getaway or a more elaborate celebration. Our superb 30 bedroom sanctuary contains a host of luxurious outlets from the relaxing Lark’s Bar, the gracious splendour of our casual fine dining Lil's restaurant right through to the stunning backdrop of our elegant 250 capacity ballroom. Our ethos is simple. We provide exquisite food in an elegant setting by our vastly experienced team ensuring your visit will be memorable forever. The eternally cosy, stove-lit, Lark’s bar enjoys a very strong lunch and supper trade. This comfy backdrop is awash with decorative trinkets and unique features and is a huge hit with both our local patrons and in-house guests. Both can often be seen mingling throughout the evening especially on Friday nights when we have live music. Our boutique-style lends itself ideally to weddings and we are delighted to present both Á La Carte offerings & 3 enticing package options. We encourage all our wedding couples to impose their individuality on their magical day so we have provided opportunities to tailor a bespoke menu should you wish. The jewel in the crown of Avalon House Hotel is undoubtedly Lil’s Restaurant. Situated on the first floor with natural light flooding through the original windows and views of the neighbouring woodland. Lil's at Avalon House Hotel offers a tranquil area for our guests to relax and enjoy good food in good company.
We recently stayed at the Avalon House Hotel for a family wedding. What a fantastic place. The courtyard was perfect for a sunny drinks reception and the main function room had plenty of glitz and glamour. The staff were attentive, friendly and very welcoming. The food was fantastic, and the army of waiting staff did a fantastic job. We stayed in a beautiful room overlooking the courtyard. The hotel is decorated to a high standard, with excellent quality materials. Although a modern hotel it has the elegance and sophistication in keeping with the older parts of the main building and the history of the town itself. It is situated beside the fantastic Castlecomer Discovery Park, located just across a beautiful new pedestrian bridge, with lots of lovely walks. We were very impressed and will certainly be returning again as guests.

We don’t do conventional, we do convenience, smart and fun. Wexford’s first smart, modern accommodation. People ask how we can offer such fantastic value in such a central location? It’s simple, we give you everything you need and nothing you don’t for a fun breakaway in Wexford Shopping, restaurants, night-life and adventure await you here at Crown Quarter Wexford, located on Monck Street, Wexford’s newest pedestrianised street with retractable atmospheric star light roof for outside dining and evening drinks.
We recently stayed in the crown quarters. The crown itself is a bustling little hotspot & the staff so welcoming & freindly they honestly couldn't do more for you! From the management, bar staff, security. We had a few problems with key cards but was put right straightway! Easy to see past this as only new open. Rooms are beautiful spotless and beds sooo comfy we both enjoyed our stay & cocktails. To include option for breakfast would be a nice little touch! Or even a tea or coffee facility in the room for the morning. Other than that was perfect stay! Thankyou for looking after us we will look forward to returning and would recommend the crown quarters.

Close to mountains, beaches, rivers & lakes of County Wicklow. Magnificent Georgian family home pleasantly positioned in Wicklow’s Aughrim Hills within 60 km of County Dublin. You’ll love Clone House as it sits on approx 4 acres of manicured gardens, lawns, shrubs and is a delightfully restored heritage house. Superb views of surrounding. We look forward to providing a first-rate experience.
We had two lovely rooms and the house is really pretty and the gardens are so well kept. I made bit of a mistake in not reading the location or dining amenities correctly as we d been driving all day the point was to go somewhere that we coukd just walk to a restaurant and have a drink also. So had to drive back into aughrim which was a, pain They do though thoughtfully leave corkscrew and wine glasses in the room which is what we did. But some sort of dining and drinks would make this perfect. The big airdale dog welcoming you is a big softy and if you want dog freindly but nice place it's perfect. It was, spotless. Only small fault I was a bit cold in my room.

Was there earlier and overheard the barman call all dubs west brits.very offended by this so we left after one drink.will never be back. Ironically, the same barman and locals alike, were enjoying two british teams play football, while we went off the the irish sport of GAA

Lovely quaint house in the country. The room and bathroom were large, everything was comfortable and homely - nice informal rural atmosphere with friendly dogs and cats around. Kamla the hostess was friendly and helpful, there was a beautifully presented breakfast, and we had a lovely chat. In the evening she left the house and rescued me when Google maps got me lost - weather conditions were bad and internet was disturbed. In fact the house is only a few kms from Midleton. It was a terrific experience and I would be delighted to stay again whenever I might be in the area

Lovely Large, modern and exceptionally clean accommodation. A fantastic Coffee shop downstairs offering outdoor seating and we had the pleasure of great sunshine for the days we were there. Bantry is such a wonderful town with much to do and when the sun is shining it is really lovely

The apartment was located on the first floor of a historic building. The checkin process was easy and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The place itself was nicely decorated and we had plenty of space for our group of 5. The location is fantastic with just a short stroll to the main square and on the way there are more pubs, restaurants and a lovely bakery with amazing pastries for breakfast. On a more negative note, the mattress in one of the bedrooms was extremely uncomfortable. Both my wife and myself had a bad night. You could feel the springs and we had to sleep on the duvet :( Also we knew that there won't be toiletries or towels which was communicated before but I wish there were. We stayed in three locations during this trip and this one was the only one with no towels so we had to bring our own just because of that one accommodation. But the price was very affordable and we enjoyed our stay very much regardless. Thank you.

We stayed here for 4 nights for a relaxing break. The other reviews mention the narrow stairs to get up to your room and the fact that there is no breakfast or staff. It’s more like a hostel. But the noise!! There are only 6 small rooms so I don’t understand how they start cleaning every day at 8 am and go on all day till 5 pm. Doors also slam all day and all night and the walls are paper thin we can hear drawers opening and closing in the room next door. There are no curtains so the sun wakes you up at 6 am before the banging and hoovering starts at 8 am. If you need a rest and a break, don’t come here.
