The charming Vietnamese capital has aged well, preserving the Old Quarter, monuments and colonial architecture, while making room for modern developments alongside. Hanoi may have shrugged off several former names, including Thang Long, or "ascending dragon," but it hasn't forgotten its past, as sites such as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and Hoa Lo Prison attest. Lakes, parks, shady boulevards and more than 600 temples and pagodas add to the appeal of this city, which is easily explored by taxi.

Bad experience, i booked on agoda for a cheap price, when i came to the hotel they did not accept it and told me that its agoda faults, but they did not check the booking and still leave it there, they can call agoda for it but they dont do that or they dont know how, they tell me they can not call me because book through agoda did not have information, but if they check the booking and feel anything wrong for it and they can call agoda to tell us, i leave my email there when booking. I did not enter the hotel that day and have to find another hotel, even it already evening and i feel really angry about it

Located in Hanoi, Ha Noi Municipality region, West Lake Home Hotel & Spa is set 1.2 km from West Lake. With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk. Local points of interest like Quan Thanh Temple and Dong Xuan Market are reachable within 1.7 km and 2.8 km, respectively.
Paid for a room in September, the hotel charged me again in November. Had the bank proof of the transaction but the management said they couldnt find the payment. Been to the hotel couple of times to fix the issue and no one seems to care. Not the first they had logistic issues as they they also couldn't find reservation made through agoda or booking.com To avoid if you dont dont to lose your time

In our trip to Vietnam, Taiwan, HK this was the best hotel even though it was the cheapest. We got large rooms with two double beds, intricately made for us. However what was exceptional was the service. The room was 5 floors up and there was no elevator (not the best) but the receptionist made up for it by carrying our heavy luggage up the stairs. When we were checking out too, we called the front desk. Le climbed 5 set of stairs immediately to grab the heavy items from us. Apart from this, all our needs were taken care of. We were picked up from the hotel with a guy carrying placard with my name. We were picked up from the hotel by taxi for the airport. We were able to give all our dirty clothes for laundry to the front-desk and receive it next morning. We were picked outside our hotel for Halong Bay tour due to it's convinient location in Old Quarter. The front-desk staff was very thorough at booking these. The front desk guy (Le) also gave us a map explaining where to look for shopping in the night. Hanoi Weekend Night Market is a 5-minute walk away from the hotel. French Quarter is 15-minute walk. Once we had a problem with hot water. We called front-desk, Le came immediately up 5 flight of stairs and instructed us on how to use the water heating system. We made sure to tip Le in the end for his help. In summary, huge spacious room in an excellent location with unparallelled service for dirt-cheap price (18$).

Location: Capital City of Hanoi, once considered a conservative city, has developed into one of the unbelievable exciting cities in Southeast Asia. It is slow paced but attraction captures, with lovely lakes and red river, lush public parks, and shaded boulevards of old French-colonial architecture. Hanoi is home to all the best of historic Vietnam and discovers traditional places of interests such as temples, monuments, including pockets of ancient culture along the narrow streets of an old quarter.
My coworkers and I (9 people) went to Hanoi for a bussiness. We looked on booking.com and found New Era hotel. It was just perfect for us. When we arrive, receiption Moon Welcomed us with a warm smile. The rooms were spacious and good smell. The location of the hotel was good, just 5 minutes taxi to Old Quarter.

We booked for 3 nights via booking.com for about 40 dollars. When we arrived the aunt of the host (who we never saw) asked of us 60 dollars. We were quite surprised but then she showed us booking.com and the prices had went up, artificially pushed by the host probably. The rooms are alright, nothing too special. On their website they show pictures with European breakfast. There was nothing like that. Not that we needed it but when you lure people with certain products you should be able to deliver. Especially when you push the prices over the roof.

Situated in the centre of the Ancient Quarter of Hanoi, the Au Coeur d’Hanoi is a charming French-style serviced apartment punctuated with modern decor without losing the authenticity of the Oriental spirit, leaving hotel guests with a pleasant, cosy feeling.
I looked up the apartment through various sources in the NET and thought, wow the pictures look very nice, location too, so I booked the place. Chatted with the hotel prior my arrival and then the date of my arrival was here. The first thing that seriously disappointed me was, from the main road to the apartment, that’s a roughly 100-meter walk, which in principle is OK. But in their case, the whole street was a construction side and every time to and from the place you walk in mud. They knew it and they did not mention it at all!! When I entered the room, I was a bit surprised, and thought is this a joke or a dream, because when you compare the image for advertisement and then you see the reality, there are only 2 options 1) I am at the wrong property or 2) it is the property but then the person that took the images is a genius Fact is what’s advertised is so far away from the reality. I didn’t even check in and left right away. The biggest disappointment so far.
