Tout était parfait, tant dans l'organisation (check in automatique, ouverture des portes via une application....), Que dans le logement en lui même. Grand espace, lit confortable, cuisine au top... Bref, tout ce qu'il fait pour se sentir bien et à l'aise. Le diable est peut être dans les détails, mais quel bonheur d'avoir pensé à d'infimes choses qui changent la vie. Merci encore pour cette étape.

Les appartements sont super spacieux et décorés avec goût : idéal pour un long week-end. Nous avons passé notre réveillon au restaurant « les foudres » : la qualité, la créativité et l’accord mets/vins étaient parfait. Le service est irréprochable et chaleureux. L’ensemble du personnel est aux petits soins de la réception , au petit déjeuner avec une mention spéciale pour les foudres et le bar . Mon épouse et ma fille ont testé le spa : elles en sont revenues ravies. Que dire de plus : je vous conseille vivement cette expérience …

Reviewed By WorldTravelerMinusLe Saintongeais is a friendly, family-run hotel-restaurant-bar in the quiet village of Berneuil, a few minutes from the A10 autoroute south of Saintes and a good place for a stopover going north or south. Prices are very reasonable, the restaurant is good value and the room was commfortable and spotlessly clean. Definitely recommended.

Located in the pretty village of Louzac, just 6km from the famous town of Cognac, Demeure du Chapitre is a beautiful and historic home and Chambres d'hotes. The former stables have now been fully renovated to provide spacious and independent B&B accommodation comprising a total of four bedrooms - two spacious and well-appointed doubles with en-suite bathroom facilities, plus a further double and twin bedroom which forms a generous suite with private bathroom and toilet. Breakfast is offered in our large lounge & dining area, plus a home made 4-course Table dhotes meal is available twice per week on selected dates with advanced reservation. An extensive garden offers a place to relax and secure car parking as well as a garage for motorbikes is avaialable onsite. Demeure du Chapitre is the perfect base to explore Cognac, the nearby Atlantic Coast and the Roman town of Saintes

Reviewed By demunnickChris and Ann run this very nice place in the direct vicinity (15 mins) from Cognac. A most friendly couple of British origin who know all the inns and outs of the area. Rooms furnished with local antiques, breakfast with fresh croissants, they do everything possible to make your stay as welcome as possible. Downstairs is a kitchen which is not meant for making your own meals but guests can use it for making a cup of tea or coffee and there are cups, glasses, plates and even a microwave. Very handy indeed. Large garden with several tables and chairs. Very quiet neighborhood. Cognac, Saintes and (further away) La Rochelle are wonderful places to visit.

Excellent service
Reviewed By susie390having received very rude treatment at a nearby auberge we decided to try Relais de La Brande. The service was amazing. We were welcomed immediately and took a table on the terrace where our wine arrived promptly. We then wished that we were having lunch as it all looked fantastic and very well priced. We definitely recommend and will return.

Reviewed By BarneyMateWe booked in for a week at the end of August. It was a chance recommendation from a friend, and we were not disappointed. We were allocated a two floor gate, which could easily accommodate four people. The downstairs consisted of a superbly equipped kitchen/dining area, which led into a seating area, with double doors opening out onto the common courtyard area. There is every covcievable gadget and convenience contained therein. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor, with a generous double bedroom and spacious bathroom, with a knock-out power shower. There were enough clean towels to last a month, and generous complimentary toiletries. Janet and Guy were an absolute joy to stay with and this was enhanced with the open invitation to everyone staying to mingle in the 'bar' area outside - they have cleverly set-up tables and seating and all guests are invited to mingle over drinks, alcoholic, or non-alcoholic, as preferred. Janet is fluent in several languages and is extremely knowledgable about everything French. A query will normally end-up with Janet on the phone on your behalf, or laying on a car to take you to that particular shop, site, whatever! All in all, a super relaxing stay in the middle of a beautiful pre-Medieval village.

Reviewed By Vincent QTrès bel établissement merveilleusement rénové. Un très joli parc et au calme. Merci pour votre accueil chaleureux et discret. Je ne suis malheureusement pas venue dans les meilleures conditions (cause décès) mais j'ai trouvé un endroit "cosy" et familiale qui m'a beaucoup aidé. La chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieuses propres et décorées avec beaucoup de goût. C'est avec grand plaisir que la prochaine fois nous viendrons en famille. Je recommande vivement cet établissement. À bientôt. Morgane
