Reviewed By Seaside06196309083Great place - peaceful and super clean. Friendly staff. No breakfast being served due to Covid but that was fine as very central location so lots of nice places to eat nearby. Really great value in a wonderful but very expensive city .

Reviewed By sysa86The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to the train station. There is a self check in that could be challenging and there is no clear indication of how and where to get help if needed. For us was fine, but I guess for elderly people could be a challenge. There is absolutely no human interaction, but, having said so, we definitely would stay again. The room (we booked a larger one), was really good, clean, and quiet. Nice amenities, especially the bathroom ones and the coffee.

Pleasant gasthaus in rural small town
Reviewed By soccer_ref8We spent 3 nights at Gasthaus Sternen and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Weekday mornings, the intersection gets a bit of traffic, so make sure the window is closed before going to sleep. The room looked to be recently remodeled. It was pretty spacious and the bathroom was roomy with a walk-in shower. We only ate one evening meal in the restaurant. The food was plentiful and good. Take some time and walk up into the vineyards just north of the hotel. I wouldn't call Rafz a tourist destination, but it's a great place to base some day trips out of. Make sure you visit the Rötiberg-Kellerei in near-by Wilchingen (Hauptstrasse 34) and the Weingut Pircher in Eglisau (Hinterer Stadtberg 1). Excellent wine and some of the nicest people you'd want to meet. Rafz is about 20 minutes from the Zurich Airport which is one reason we chose Gasthaus Sternen. Easy drive to the airport. Rental car return signage isn't the best, so keep a sharp eye out.

An amazing historical building
Reviewed By _Katya-VarjaGrossmünster is more than 800 years old and it amazes to the bottom of the heart. The church is up on a little hill and the whole place looks beautiful and gives a great picture of Zürich with Christmas markets and beautiful Limmat river. Inside you can listen to the organ playing and enjoy the stained glass windows by famous artist and sculptor Alberto Giacometti.

Reviewed By AzucenaF33Grosszügiges Zimmer, alles ganz nah und sehr sauber. Einfach und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Tolles Frühstück, super Aussicht, schönes Restaurant unten und den Park sollte man unbedingt besuchen. Parkplatz kein Problem.

Una successione di sorprese negative
Reviewed By rahelaGossauAvevo prenotato due singole. Non posso dire nulla sulle camere, perché non le ho mai viste. Arrivati all’albergo, infatti, abbiamo trovato l’ingresso chiuso. Dopo un po’ è comparsa una signora che ci ha fatti entrare nel bar attiguo all’hotel. Lì, guardando su un computer, ci ha detto che non risultava nessuna prenotazione a mio nome. Ovviamente, avevo con me il mail di conferma. Ah, sì, ammette allora, ma ha prenotato una camera sola. Ovviamente, sul mail di conferma ne figurano due. Il problema è che di stanze non ne ho - afferma infine. Non importa, però, di metto un un bellissimo appartamento. Detto fatto, ci carica su un furgoncino e ci porta al famoso appartamento. Tre piani di scale strette, niente ascensore. L’appartamento è sordido. Tre stanze, una cucina, un bagno in cui troneggiano una lavatrice e un’asciugatrice. Il water è privo di tavoletta. Non abbiamo scelta e accettiamo di stare lì. Prezzo richiesto: 310 franchi. Usciamo a cena e, al ritorno, constatiamo che una delle camere non si apre. Chiamo la signora, che chiede: devo venire lì? Dopo un po’ compare, ma neanche lei riesce a far scattare la serratura. Chiama allora due suoi amici molto nerboruti e attrezzati di tutto punto che, a martellate, riescono ad aprire la porta. Se ne vanno e noi, che ingenuamente pensavamo di chiudere il portone d’ingresso dell’appartamento, constatiamo che non si può. Mentre armeggiamo con la serratura (sono circa le 23), compare un’altra signora, molto carina e sorridente, che chiede: scusate, posso entrare a prendere la biancheria? Un po’ perplessi, la facciamo entrare. Si dirige verso il bagno ed esce con i panni che stavano dentro l’asciugatrice. Dice di non preoccuparci se il portone non si chiude, che, tanto, nessuno verrà a disturbarci. E questa è la mia esperienza all’hotel Hechtplatz.
