Access to Tanbara is about 50 minutes by free pick-up bus from Shinkansen Joage Kogen Station. It is a rare ski resort with high quality powder snow, located at an altitude of 1,250 to 1,550 m, with a long run from late January to May GW and being located about 2 hours from the metropolitan area. Bus journey to here is approximately 2h30min. Fresh and juicy snow crabs legs are available with group bookings package. Simply pick up your sled, take the travelator up the hill and slide down your way and make a snow man! Though is cold but there is sun shine so it is decent weather.

Please buy a one-day ticket for adults 4000 yen at Tanigawadake Ropeway Base Plaza.
