The 10 Best Ski & Snowboard Areas in Beijing, China

May 19, 2021 Stefan Strunk

Welcome to a capital city whose story goes back at least 3000 years. In Beijing, you'll find a wealth of history, both ancient (the Hall of Preserving Harmony, Summer Palace, Forbidden City) and more recent (Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Tiananmen Square). For the best market experience, choose the Dirt Market over the touristy Silk Market. A visit to the Great Wall, the longest manmade structure in the world, is absolutely essential.

Nanshan Ski Village

I went here in winter vacation with my family. We stayed at Longmai Hotspring Village for the first night and drove here the next day early in the morning rather than come in the afternoon, otherwise the snow may not be clean and soft. Many beginners on the beginners' slope so I felt just fine even though I couldn't ski really well. But there's also a few difficult ones from the mountain top.I tried one of them.Although I fell down,it didn't hurt much and I thought I was quite brave!Lots of tools available which were helpful. You'd better bring a thin scarf to avoid your face being hurt by the strong wind. The staff were friendly and polite.Price was OK and I recommend a group purchase online in advance so it might be even cheaper. I stayed for four hours here and here comes an exciting part.Picking strawberries was just right after skiing when you are tired and hungry. The thing is you can eat whatever you like in the greenhouse!Febraury is the very time of the ripening of strawberries. They are delicious!!
