Transylvania is a historical region in today's central Romania. Bound on the east and south by its natural borders, the Carpathian mountain range, historical Transylvania extended westward to the Apuseni Mountains. The term sometimes encompasses not only Transylvania proper, but also the historical regions of Crișana and Maramureș, and occasionally the Romanian part of Banat.

Our first private tour and we were delighted with the experience. The tour was fast-paced, which was fine for us - be ready at 8 am. We saw so much more than if we would have tried it on our own. We were lucky to have a friendly guide, Michael. He was knowledgeable and entertaining, with excellent driving skills. Our plan of visiting Romania during COVID-19 end well, and I hope to discover more in the next years.

Due to the current covid situation, I had a private tour that day, which was awesome. Mathias was a great guide, has a lot of general Romanian knowledge along with historical. This made for great conversation on the way to and from the castles. I highly recommend the tour and would gladly do it again with friends and family in the future.

Located on the Crisul Repede River, which divides the city into almost equal halves, Oradea is the gateway to Central and Western Europe. Great company to deal with. Our planning and booking was with Bogdan and all replies were quick and informative. We decided on a 2 day tour. Collection from airport late then straight to hotel Bucharest, early collection the next day with our guide Nick, we had a quick tour around the city and then onto mountains and Brasov. Overnight stay in Brasov. We requested a change to the next day itinery which was met so we could say we went off the beaten toursit path. Nick was very informative and enaging and always met our needs and understood our requirements from the trip. Before Nick left us in Bucharest back at the hotel he arranged a booking for us at the Palace of the Parliament so we knew which tour we were going on. In the price of the trip we also had a early collection from the hotel back to the airport even though our tour ended 2 days before. No stress, everything organised and everthing worked our great.

Excellent from the start. Picked up from the hotel by our guide Ivan. He was very knowledgeable about local history, we passed the bran castle which we visited the previous day, Ivan had lots of interesting information as we traveled into the mountain. We set off on the horse's up the mountain for a couple of hours, really nice scenery. Some parts quite steep, but the horses coped no problem. Arrived at a bit overlooking other mountains that still had snow on. Really good crowd. The local horse guide then made a fire and made a local lunch, lots to eat and very tasty. After eating and horses rested on to the return trip. Went back a different way, varied trails across fields, thru wooded areas, down steep paths. The local guide made it an interesting ride. Ivan was very good at translating and the whole day was very enjoyable. Ivan took lots of photos which he sent to us the next day. A 5* service, would recommend and use Dans tours and Ivan again

We spent two amazing days in Dracula’s Land guided by Dan. On the first day we explored Bucegi Natural Park, a beauty of nature covered in snow. We spent the night in a comfy lodge with fire place and mulled wine. The second day we visited mountain villages and after lunch we asked Dan if he could bring us to a ski resort for 2h of skiing. So we arrived in Poina Braso and enjoyed skiing in the afternoon. Everything was beyond expectations and we highly recommend 4x4 Wild Tours. Dankeschon Dan fur alles!

Turda Salt Mine it’s probably one of the most important and interesting places to see in Transylvania. According to the top of the most spectacular sights to see out there made by the site businessinsider.com, Turda Salt Mine is situated on the 22nd place. Salina Turda, located in Turda, Romania, is home to an underground theme park that's nestled inside one of the oldest salt mines in the world. Turda Gorge. The canyon is nearly 3 km long, with 300 m high walls sculpted in weathered limestone. Bring the camera because you will be impressed with the work that a river did inside a mountain in hundreds of millions of years. At first sight, you will see two rocky massifs, which were once one and which were separated by erosion of Jurassic limestone rock by the river
Inclusions: Bottled water, 1 LANGOS, 1 Activity inside the Salt Mine
Exclusions: Traditional Dinner in Rimetea Village
