Experience with this trekking tour company and also our guide Josi on our way to the Mt. Rinjani was amazing! Communication about reservation was very prompt. I did the booking quickly and easily. They answered all my questions I had about this trek. Driver pick up us at our hotel in Sengiggi. He was on time and the route to the starting point was nice and comfortable. Before we started trekking, we had stop in office of Rinjani Trekking Center in Senaru, where we did some little administration. We got nice breakfast in here and waited for a while until they packed all neccesary stuff for trekking and camping. After that the driver took us to registration office in Sembulan. Josi - our guid did everything for us - all we needed to do was following him :D Then we were ready to start trekking. After 3 hours of trekking we had a lunch at point called POS II. Porters - magic mans - prepared for us delicous food. We were really surprised about the food during the trekking. We expected something like instant noodle soup or something like that, but this guys cooked for us alwas something delicous, with lots of vegetable and after the meal as a dessert we had always choice of friut. Porters were really magic mans, because they carried all stuff for camping and food, they pitched the tents in rain, cooked warm meals and were so fast on the way up and down... And all this they did in flip-flops :) Tents and sleeping bags were nice and clean, any unpleasant smell. They brought to us also comfy mat and small pillow! Our guide, Josi, was great. He can speak english well, so we had nice talk during trekking. He adapted the pace to us. When we needed a rest, we had a rest. When we had a question, he answered :) We could rely on him. Unfortunatelly, the weather in the morning on the way from camp to the top of Summit was very bad - there was strog wind and it was unsafety to continue. Josi went first and tried to go more forward to chceck the situation with weather. But it was even worse, so he suggested to descend. Safety first - I like this approach. We did this trekking to Mt. Rinjani on 1.april 2O21, which was the first day of reopening after raining season. Unluckily the weather did not suit us, but the experience with all guys who guided us on our way, was great. I can only recommend ;)

We did the 2D1N trek to craterim and it was beautiful experience . The trek started from the Senaru side and was a steep climb up to the campsite on the crater rim. Our tour guide Yarto was great. He helped encourage us through the climb and understood the group's pace very well. There is quite a steep rocky section coming down from the camp that I found quite challenging and he did everything he could to assist me. We continue to be amazed by the porters and how they carry enormous loads up and down the mountain - they are honestly superhuman! I would highly recommend to Cakrawala Rinjani trekking and Yarto especially with their focus on being sustainable and keeping Rinjani clean.

Rinjani volcano; it's everywhere in the news now because of its current ongoing eruption. Located on the island of Lombok, Indonesia, the ash plume formed has drifted over the Lombok airport and in the direction of Bali (a popular tourist destination) and over Bali's International Airport. The last eruption at Rinjani was in 2010, where the eruption was not as impactful as this one, with the ash cloud only reaching 5.5km in altitude and quickly dissipating over time. The video below is a close up of that 2010 eruption. Other hazards faced at Rinjani include lahar flows, which are mudflows of deposited ash and volcanic material that are reactivated in the presence of heavy rainfall, as what happened in 1994.

My 18 year old son wanted to travel alone on a 3 day hiking trip to the mountains of Lombok. I contacted Rinjani Trek Adventure Company to organise this trip. As you can understand, I was an anxious parent. The owner, Adi, was very kind and very patient and answered all my queries and assured me that my son would be in good hands. The entire Rinjani team ensured that my son had a fabulous trip. Not only did they arrange all the logistics to perfection, they also provided mental and emotional support to my son as they knew it would be tough and also lonely for a young boy travelling alone. My son had an amazing trip. Thank you Rinjani for giving my son this once in a lifetime experience.

Climbing Mount rinjani summit through the Sembalun villae is easier because it’s located at 1.150m above sea level while Senaru has an altitude 601m above sea level. This trekking activities usually takes place and starts at Pelawangan Sembalun that offer a very beautiful landscape all the way up to the crater rim. Doing trekk at rinjani summit is one of the best experience that you will never forget in your life time.

We did the 2 day, 1 night trek from Senaru with Sam and his two porters and it was phenomenal. Almost too well organised and we were spoilt to the point we felt bad for the porters. These guys are insane, they carry everything from water(multiple bottles - remember, to cook rice and noodles and wash the cutlery and plates they need a lot of water), the tents and sleeping bags, food and snacks, and their own stuff. And they did the entire trek in probably half the time we did, carrying all that! You get fed really well the entire time. Food was almost too much for us as we were given multiple meals with fruit platters, snacks and coffee. If you do it, make sure you stay with the guys at Rinjani Lighthouse, there's a German family doing some really good work for the village and community, so please support them and do support Rinjani Excellent. Suti and his team only care for you to have the best experience throughout so rest assured, you'll be taken care of. Lastly, make sure you tip the guide and porters at the end. This was a beautiful site and a great day excursion in Lombok. My wife and I went on this trip and we were picked up from our hotel slightly north of senggigi. The driver was very kind and punctual. The driver met us at our hotel at 8 am where he was waiting as he obviously arrived early to wait for us and pick us up. The waterfalls were absolutely beautiful. There were two waterfalls and you can go swimming in both. If you dont want to swim in either you dont have to. I will admit the waterfall water was mildly chilly compared to the beach water, still very pleasant. I would recommend wearing water sandals that you can hike in. Flip flops are second best choice. Sneakers and socks are not ideal as you have to walk through water at times during this 1 to max 2 hour trek if you walk slowly. Irsyad was our tour guide and he was awesome. He was extremely kind, spoke basic English well, and gave us a wonderful tour. Some of the hike was a bit challenging for my wife as she is not an outdoors person and rarely treks in the woods. Irsyad helped her through the waters, down some rocks, over other logs. He made her (and my) trek wonderful. Highly recommend Irsyad as a tour guide. Irsyad also showed us a beautiful place to dine and eat lunch overlooking a magnificent view after our trek. Cons: this was a 2 hour drive from our hotel and we weren't aware of this. Also the price for hotel pick up only included pick up and not drop off. If you want the driver to take you back to the hotel it cost another 400 rupiah ~ roughly 28$ US currency.

This was one of the best experiences of my life. The entire tour was very well organized. I had the opportunity to visit the waterfalls the day before the Trek and then completed a 2 day, 1 night trek with the best guide and porter My guide, Eddie, was extremely patient and encouraging (I was beginner and needed to take a lot of breaks a long the way and also needed a lot of help as we climb up and down steep areas. Hanafi (the operations manager) and Yuse (his assistant) picked me up from the airport, at the base once I was done with the tour and dropped me off in my next location, and were extremely pleasant and helpful. Everything was very professionally organized and perfect. The tour was organize according to the COVID-19 protocols for Lombok island and safety was made a priority. I highly recommend Halomi Tour and Eddie as a trekking guide.
