My wife and I found this tour was a pleasant way to familiarize ourselves with Padua. The Srovegni Chapel is a must for Renaissance art lovers. The guided tour format is ideal for understanding Giotto's work as you are limited to a 15 minute period inside the Chapel. Our guide Tiziana used this time superbly to point out each panel and the important features. Great memories!

Awesome day out! We did the Slow Tour and cruised along the 5terre stopping twice for swimming from the boat. A quick lunch stop in Monterosso and then we came back at speed, much to the excitement of our kids. Nico was a fun and informative guide and made the trip brilliant for all our family (2 adults and 3 kids, age 10, 8 and 8). Highly recommend, the best day of our holiday by miles!

Vicenza is the city of one of the most famous architects in Italian history, Andrea Palladio, and during the tour we can visit many of his marvellous creations: palazzos, monuments and the Teatro Olimpico, built in the late 16th century, the oldest covered theatre in the world based on a study of ancient Roman theatres. You'll be amazed by the number of elegant streets, cafés and romantic corners you can find in Vicenza. Together with the Palladian villas, Vicenza is a Unesco World Heritage site.

Daniela was fantastic. We were in Venice during some of its worst flooding on record and that didn't stop Daniela from giving us an amazing tour. Our hotel concierge told us that our guide would not turn up due to the flooding - but of course she did! Daniela is someone who you can 100% trust and rely upon. She is extremely knowledgeable, has excellent English and she is a delight to spend a half-day or a full-day with. I would recommend Daniela to anyone going to Venice or indeed her home town Vicenza - thank you Daniela :)

Villa Valmarana ai Nani, just outside the town of Vicenza, is an extraordinary monumental complex that includes the ‘Palazzina’ (Owner’s Residence), the Foresteria (Guest-House) – both frescoed by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo - and the Scuderia (Stables), within a historical park.  It's surrounded by walls decorated with Statues of Dwarfs. It's the only place in the world where you can admire together the art of the father, Giambattista and the son’s, Giandomenico Tiepolo. The Villa is still owned and inhabited by the Valmarana family, who commissioned the frescoes in 1757.

Villa Valmarana, the home of Count Giustino Valmarana, is located in the hills just outside of Vicenza and was designed by Gianbattista Tiepolo. It can be reached on foot, but, we opted for the 8 euro taxi ride from the train station. An audio guide is available and helps describe the design and contents of each of the rooms of the main house and the adjacent pallazzina. The views of the surrounding hills are spectacular and were one of the highlights of the visit for me.

What a trip! Adam, our driver, was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The day went according to plan and we had marvellous visits to both the extensive complex of Villa Adriana and then taken up the hill to Villa d’Este and its magnificent water gardens. Thoroughly recommend this out of Rome trip although pre-trip communication from the local provider could be improved.
