We rented a boat from Beyond Waves on our trip to Milos and it was easily the highlight of our trip (and we had already fallen in love with Milos!!). Andreas was the coolest, nicest boat owner, super friendly and helpful. The boat was great quality, excellent value even though there was only two of us and we would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of renting to go with Andreas and his company. Thank you again Andreas!

Parga and Sivota islands Cruise is the best way to see the beauties of mainland Greece coastal scenery. Enjoy entering by boat the stunning cave of Sivota, where the legend tells that a submarine was hidden during the WWII. Walk through the wonderful narrow streets of Parga enjoy your lunch at one of the traditional seafront tavernas. Additionally, you can join a mini-tour with the tourist train from the coastline to the forest visiting the traditional stone watermill with the folklore museum and on the way back you may have a walking tour in the Venetian castle before you admire the beautiful islands near Sivota. Soon afterwards, we arrive at the picturesque Blue Lagoon bay, where historians say the Arabian pirates moored their ships in the Middle Ages. We drop anchor close to the beach, and you will have the opportunity to swim in the lagoon’s exotic blue waters. The tour obviously provides magnificent views over Northern East coastline of Greece’s mainland and the Ionian Sea.

The monument of Zaloggo is located a short distance from the archaeological site of Kassopi, from where, according to history, 63 women of Sοuli villages fell off the cliff with their children in 1803 dancing, so as not to be captured by the soldiers of Ali Pasha (1788-1822). Acherontas strait and Estuary area is one of the 18 natural sites that have been recognized as the most remarkable in the whole region. In this area the most famous nekromanteion (or oracle of the dead) of the ancient Greek world is spotted which lies near the northwest shores of the Acherousian lake. Homer provides the earliest reference to the necromanteion of Acheron in his Odyssey, when Circe advises Ulysses to meet Teiresias, the blind seer, in the underworld in order to get an oracle for his return to Ithaka.

It was amazing day just for 25 euros per person. Captain Spyros took us from Agios Gordios and drived us to Gouvia by his car telling nice stories about villages we passed. The boat was big and nice and Spyros was the best part of it. He was joking, singins, dancing, talking to everyone and making food. The food was very tasty, and free coffe, biscuits and free wine all the day. The three places we stopped were very nice especially this wild beahh near the lake.

Great stocked up bar and Maria was very informative - and talented - with her translation from 4 languages on the guided tour! Don’t miss this one!
The foundation of Nikopolis is directly associated with a major historical event, Octavian’s victory in the naval battle of Actium against the combined forces of Mark Antony and Cleopatra. It is an event of tremendous historic significance, altering the whole political and cultural context of the time, since it was the last of the civil wars of the Roman Republic, signaling the end of the Roman Republic and the beginning of the Roman Empire. The archaeological site of Nikopolis, covering an area of 900 hectares (approximately 14,000 acres), contains within its boundaries all the key attributes that convey its Outstanding Universal Value, testifying to the urban character of the site and its great importance as a civitas libera, which enjoyed special political and financial privileges and became a major cultural and political centre.
