Mostar (Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [mǒstaːr]) is a city and municipality in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Inhabited by 105,797 people, it is the most important city in the Herzegovina region, its cultural capital, and the center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation. Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the fifth-largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most recognizable landmarks, and is considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans.

We absolutely loved our day trip with Pedrag! We were there about a year ago but the review wouldn't let me choose that far back. Pedrag was very informative, hospitable and always ensuring we were enjoying ourselves. The breakfast was large and fills you right up. Our meal was fantastic for lunch as well! The sites are great and the waterfall is amaaazing. You're guaranteed to have a fantastic day out whether you're into history or the scenery. Thank you so much my friend! We hope to see you again soon. You should also stay at their hostel - Hostel David. The staff are all incredibly lovely and we highly recommend staying there as we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Mostar :-)

Mostar City Tour – designed by those who are part of the soul of this city ! The Old Bridge,UNESCO World Heritage Site, connects the cobblestone streets of Mostar’s old town on either side of the river, as well as the mix of Ottoman, Western and Mediterranean influences that shaped this charming place. Walking through Mostar is a walk through the past. Its ancient walls tell timeless tales of the way it used to be. Its present struggle to keep its identity as a multi-ethnic community is an inspiring model for the future. Experience Bosnia Herzegovina’s most photographed city!

My wife and I visited Mostar this January and decided to take a trip with Ćamil and his partner Samira to explore some local areas we'd not visited before. What an amazing time to explore this magical nature! Ćamil has an encyclopedic knowledge of this area and was filling us in on the history of the places we visited as we experienced them, both informative and exceptionally interesting. We started by driving out of Mostar town and headed to the fortress of Herzeg Stephan where we enjoyed a short hike to the peak with wonderful views of Mostar and the surrounding area. From here we continued to the beautiful natural spring of Bunica, crystal clear waters and incredible colours! From here we drove on to Podvelež (the bottom of the Velež mountain). Here we stopped in a lovely restaurant to sample the tea made from local wild herbs combined with the wonderful local honey - a true delight. Accompanied by beef pršut (think parma ham, but beef!) Kajmak (a local free range cow cheese) and a hot crispy fried bread, it was a most welcomed culinary treat. As the light started to fade, we returned to Mostar along the stunning road from Podvelež, taking in the evening views of Mostar, eventually arriving in the old town where we stopped for a glass of the wonderful local Blatina red wine at a small and intimate Konoba. Overall, it was an experience we will never forget and will definitely repeat on subsequent visits. Ćamil and Samira were perfect hosts and made the trip so very enjoyable. We would highly recommend this type of personalised tour!

The village is a popular stop on the tour bus route from Croatia with multiple restaurants by the roadside. We were driving and there is plenty of free parking in and around this vicinity. A short walk leads you to a small square with many stalls for shopping and from here it is a 20 to 30 minute walk up old cobblestone paths passing an old Hamman and working mosque. A path right leads you up to the summit of the village. A right fork in the path takes you towards what appears to be a renovated fort, we opted for the left turn towards the old tower. There are great views from an open terrace close to the tower which overlooks both the fort and the whole of the Neretva valley. With care you can also climb the tower which is not in a particularly good state of repair. This latter is not suitable for anyone with restricted mobility, the steps up are narrow with some unprotected areas. Once at the top the roof is in a very poor state of repair and really needs money spending on it. Good for a short break if touring around. Everything is free entry.

I wholeheartedly recommend Faruk and his team at Superb Adventure Tours. I live in Sarajevo, and my parents were coming to visit from the US for the holidays. I wanted them to see as much of Sarajevo as possible with a knowledgeable, safe guide who spoke English and could handle all of the arrangements. I reached out to Faruk and explained exactly what I was looking for, the duration of the tour, and the requested date. He took it from there. Faruk picked us up on time in a spacious, clean SUV and took us for breakfast at a beautiful, peaceful farm outside the city. My parents still rave about how delicious breakfast was! We then drove up Trebevic mountain and had a great photo stop for a panoramic view of the city. One of the photos ended up being our New Year's card! After stopping for the photos, we walked along the bobsled track, which is a really cool and quintessentially Sarajevo experience. After Trebevic, it was over to Konjic to see Tito's Bunker. This is a "must" for any Cold War junkie. After the bunker, we had a delicious dinner in Konjic, and Faruk delivered us back to Sarajevo. It was a very full day, but that is exactly what we wanted. Faruk was so knowledgeable and kind in answering my family's questions about the city, life during the war, and everything in between. You will be very pleased with this company and the level of service they provide. Your Bosnian tour wish is their command! They will do everything they can to accommodate you for the best adventure possible. Stop reading and start booking!

We booked a small group tour but since we were the only two people booked on this day (the perks of traveling off-season!), we inadvertently got a private tour for the price of a shared tour. The entire day was enjoyable without being too tiring since the driving distances are short. Our guide was Esmer, who was really knowledgeable, sweet, and flexible. It’s undoubtedly a good idea to book in advance if you’re visiting Mostar in the summertime when their tours are far more popular. We got to spend time in Blagaj, explore Počitelj (which turned out to be our favorite stop!) and see Kravice Waterfalls. Since we went during the winter, we couldn't swim, but the falls were nearly empty and peaceful so it was still worthwhile. At the end of the tour, Esmer took us to the hills surrounding Mostar and taught us all about the events of the war in Mostar. It was one of the most informative tours we took in the country. I highly recommend the company. They were very professional, our day was beautiful and memorable, and we had some flexibility on our tour since it was just us.
