Such an amazing experience. Hands down my most favorite part of my trip to Peru. Oscar was super helpful, knowledgeable and really showed what it’s like to truly experience the Peruvian amazon. Totally exceeded my expectations. Great rooms, great food, great experience all around

We have been wanting to go to Peru for a long time, and finally decided to go last December with Veru Voyage, and we must say that though it rained a tad (we knew this before hand because it's the rainy season) we couldn't be happier. We did the Lares trek along with Lake Titicaca/Puno and Arequipa, each place is totally different and each one of them offers completely different experiences. Though most recommend not going during the rainy season, and I understand why, everything is so green and beautiful that we think that it's actually a good idea, if we had to do it all over again we would choose the end of the rainy season towards March or April, where everything is still green but it doesn't rain as much. The team at Veru was brilliant, they did everything for us and we could not be happier, it's a boutique travel agency with great service and great price for what you end up with, highly recommended.

We decided to visit the Nazca Lines and Ballestas Islands on a relatively short notice. In spite of this, Derwis and Vilma took action and made all the reservations within 24 hours, and communicated with us constantly to make sure we knew what was going on at all times. The trip was well-organized and everything went according to the itinerary. Paracas, where we stayed, is a beautiful city. At night we dined at some of the restaurants by the seaside and enjoyed relaxing and pleasant views and walks. The food was superb too! Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this memorable experience! - Hannah and Juan.

This trip was easily my best experience during our visit to the Peruvian Amazon. The location of the eco-lodges is absolutely stunning, being both completely surrounded by rainforest and waterways. There is even a small and isolated village nearby where you can acquaint yourself with some of the locals. If you decide to visit the village, I recommend you try some of the locally made liquors and that you stock up for the duration of your stay. Our guide, who went by Edwin, was a wonderful person to experience the trip with. He made sure that we were well taken care of and his knowledge of the jungle and its inhabitants was extensive, to put it lightly. The rest of the staff we got acquainted with were all super friendly and always made us feel welcome. Every excursion was a trip to remember. At no point were any of us bored with the itinerary we were provided with. I do however have to point out that the included activities are not for the faint of heart, as we were constantly exposed to dangerous flora and fauna. To us however, this was what made our trips into the jungle so authentic and profound. The eco-lodges are simple, but provide you with electricity, cold showers (which is all you'll want due to the extreme heat) and shelter from mosquitoes. There is a large main hall where people get their water from, as well as where large groups gather to eat, socialize and generally have a good time. However, there is no wifi anywhere. So if that matters to you, now you know. The food was delicious. They even provided my brother with vegetarian dishes to accommodate his diet. Also, if you go fishing for piranhas they'll cook one that you've caught for you to try. Summarized; For anyone looking to experience the Amazon Rainforest at its most authentic, this is the way to do it. Though you'll have to decide for yourself if you or anyone coming with you can cope with the dangers inherent to such an expedition.
This trip will take you to explore the most incredible views of the rainforest, besides being rewarding as it gives an excellent opportunity to get involved in conservation projects, allowing to have a better understanding of the different life zones. Perfect for families. Private Tour

Still grateful for this trip back in 2017, when we stayed at the Shipetiari community in Manu. It is such a fascinating place and the stay in the albergue Pankotsi was very special. When everything is new and unknown, it is so nice to see how eager the people of the community are to show you around in the jungle, make you taste their food and get a little insight in their traditional customs. Professionally organised by Explore Manu: it shows they work closely together with the community which is great. Make sure you take at least 4 days for this, you won't regret it and never forget it!

It must have been 100F with 100% humidity furing our January trip. Even though it was furing the tsiny seasom, we were blessed with 3 fully sunny days. The tour leaders were very knowledgeable and friendly and the staff was very efficient. We only wished they turned on the power in the morning when we have to be ready to go by 4:30a. And wished there was a fan in our cabins to circulate the air. Still, a very memorable experience.

I highly recommend Machu Picchu Inca Trekking when planning a trek on the Inca Trail and for visiting Cusco. Our guide and coordinator, Eric Alexander Castro Olivera, was fantastic. You really need somebody to plan for you as doing a trek requires purchasing permits for the trail, transportation to and from the train station, purchasing train and bus tickets, as well as coordinating city tours. Patient and reliable, Eric escorted us through the ancient Inca ruins explaining history and legends. It was very fascinating to hear him speak and it was all from the heart.
