This was part of an organised trip. If you can only park near the gate it is a 1.5km walk. The rangers call the orangatan after 9 so you can see them feeding at 10. We where very lucky to see one, however it is pot luck. Also if they spot one you need to move to the place quickly. It is not for the infirm or probables with walking. I would also recommend mosquito replant and long trousers with trainers. They are leeches and ticks in certain areas. It is worth the trip.

Mount Trusmadi is a great alternative to Mount Kinabalu. The climb is even tougher and more challenging than Mount Kinabalu. Imagine a hike surrounded with pristine jungle and nature, cool mountain air and away from the crowds, that feels like you have a private camp all to yourself. It's been a year since I climbed the Mt. Kinabalu thru the Outback venture. I hope this review is not too late to share????. Booking with Outback is I guess the most convenient way to plan your hike to South East Asia's highest summit. Their guide Steven is very friendly, accommodating and very patient. Actually all of the people I met during this trip. I travelled solo but with them, it made my adventure more fun and unforgetable. Kudos to Team Outback Venture????

We booked a couple of tours with this company and loved both of them. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and we felt well looked after the whole time. On one of our trips a lady from another tour group mentioned to me that she thought our guide was excellent and wished she had booked with Exotic Borneo instead!
