Arrived by cruise ship in February. Driver/tour guide was over half an hour late. Kept us waiting in the rain at the pier. Did not get off to a good start. Kept being told that he's coming by other staff of the same tour company. Tour was okay, only 5 of us in a mini van. Difficult to hear if you're seated at the back. With such a small group, no flexibility in the itinerary. It was on a Saturday and the whole town was closed. These small islands complained cruise ships not bring them any benefit but yet all shops were closed. It's difficult to spend money to help boost the economy if you do not open for business! The weather was terrible and was raining on and off all day, heavy at times. Both the tour company and the tour is not recommended and in fact, you may skip this island.

With so much time on my hands now , I thought is would be a good time to post a review on our Foodie Tour in Fort-de-France. We met up with our most wonderful and pleasant guide Meri. We experienced both the beauty and the taste of the town. Sights like the Schoelcher Library, the beautiful court yard whith the old Cathedral. But lets not forget the food! We tasted all kinds of cheese and candies, sauces and of course RUM at a quaint local store. Such nice people there, they kept offering more and more to taste. We visited a pasty shop and had several traditional pastries, sitting in a lovely little outside patio. From there we visited the Market, which we were able to taste a few items. We were so full. Meri took great care of us and she was very easy to talk to. She shared stories of her family and and it made us feel as though we were walking with a good friend. Our last stop of the day was a great RUM shop. We were able to taste three or four rums. So good! We even bought a bottle of our favorite to take with us. This was a laid back and very informative tour. If you ever are looking for a guide in Fort-de-France, don't hesitate to contact Meri. Thank You Meri for a wonderful experience, hope you and yours are all well. Debby & Rick Riffle

This is an excellent value in Martinique. The room was very comfortable with amazing views of the ocean and mountains. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always looking to go above and beyond. There is a beach and shops and restaurants all within walking distance (within 20 mins). We would love to stay here again when we return.

Your experienced and knowledgeable, private driver-guide will pick you up for your tour to discover the history and culture of Martinique! Start by visiting la Savane des Esclaves outdoor museum where you'll learn about the island's history from the Amerindians to the abolition period. You'll enjoy a private visit in your own group. Then the tour then takes you through Trois-Ilets, stopping shortly to see the old church and also the Anse à l’Ane beach, and then through a winding forest road to Anses D’Arlet. This is a small village with old wooden houses and a beautiful church. A stop for some pictures and optionally, a swim and/or snorkeling to spot tropical fish in the coral reef, and if lucky, turtles! After this, we drive up to the Morne Larcher mountain for a view on the spectacular Diamond Rock. We finish with a visit to the Cap 110°, a memorial site dedicated to a sunken slave ship before taking the highway back towards your accommodation/cruise ship.

Lionel provided a thoroughly comprehensive tour of the northern Island. Great history and local facts. Saw catherdrals, farmers market, oldest rum factory with tasting, rain forest and fortress ruins. Lunch at the black snad beach was a real treat with fresh bagettes and home made fish fritters and cake. Would highly recommend Lionel as a trusted guide.

My husband and I were looking for an excursion at the last minute and we were put in contact with Marius Andrew. Not only did he agree the day before, he accommodated to our schedule. We were looking to have a full day excursion and we had some specific sites we wanted to visit. He spent the whole day with us and added other interesting spots to our itinerary. He was very informative and answered all our questions, our conversations were interactive and vibrant. We truly enjoyed our private excursion. He was kind and generous. It was the BEST excursion I ever had.
