Located on the east coast of Belize at the mouth of the Belize River, Belize City sits on a peninsula jutting into the Caribbean Sea. As the nation's main port, the city is a hub for cruise ships and is often a jumping-off spot for excursions to other parts of Belize, including the Cayo District's caves and Maya archaeological sites along the Macal and Belize rivers. Belize City boasts the only manual swing bridge in the world and the oldest Anglican cathedral in Central America.

The historic Belize City tour offers an interesting insight into the old capital city of Belize. Belize City is the largest city in the Central American region of Belize and was once the capital of former British Honduras until the government was moved to the new capital of Belmopan in 1970. The population of Belize City is 67,964; with neighboring suburbs adding up to about 80,000. Several cruise ships drop anchor outside the port and are tended by local citizens. Belize City was founded (originally as “Belize Town”) in 1638 by British lumber harvesters. It had previously been a small Maya city called Holzuz. Belize Town slowly improved its infrastructure and has been the object of numerous infrastructural projects. Nevertheless, many of the streets built from colonial days are still small and congested, a majority of houses are still susceptible to fire and damage from hurricanes.
Inclusions: All Fees and Taxes
Exclusions: Lunch, Gratuity, Items of personal nature
This was not an excursion neither an adventure. This was just transportation to an island that you have to pay for everything in there. For $45 dollars they get you to an island where the only thing that has is a restaurant/bar with very rude people. A few chairs, no shade. If you want a bed that swings and is covered for the sun it cost. If you want something like a gazebo it cost. This company does not explain sincerely what this excursion was about.

The cave tubing adventure has become the most popular activity in Belize. Located just 37 miles west of Belize City the cave branch of the Sibun river is now designated as a national reserve providing this incredible cave tubing experience to all our visitors both near and far. . You get to walk through rain forest trail for 30 mins. Whilst on your hike your guide points out important plants and trees with medicinal properties in the rain forest that are use as herbal remedies. This walk brings you to the entrances of the cave system, here you gear up with your life jackets, head lights, helmets and your tube. Once you are all on your tubes in one group with your trained guide you start floating down this amazing under ground river which creates this cave system all naturally done by mother nature. After an hour of both cave and open river tubing your tour finishes exactly at where the hike begun. This unique national geographic adventure could only be done in Belize.
Inclusions: Bottled water, Driver/guide, Hotel/port pickup and drop-off, Use of helmet, Transport by air-conditioned minivan
Exclusions: Alcoholic drinks (available to purchase), Lunch
Everyone should travel to Belize. The tourism industry is back! We came to Belize for a scuba diving trip and went on several land excursions too. Yesterday we had the best tour of Lamanai (the Mayan ruins in northwest Belize). At 8am, Albert Alvarez (from “A Plus Adventures Belize”) picked us up from the Radisson in Belize City and we drove about an hour to pick up Amir Reyes (local tour guide for Lamanai) from Tower Hill Village). From there we drove through the Mennonite community and farmland. Albert and Amir taught us about the variety of cultures found in Belize. Then we passed the small village of Indian Church (population of 236 people). When we arrived in Lamanai, we had the whole place almost to ourselves. Amir gave an excellent cultural and historical tour as we walked through Lamanai. It was great taking pictures of all the Mayan ruins without any other tourists getting in our pictures. Really an amazing experience. After that, we had a delicious lunch at Las Orquideas Restaurant in Indian Church. And on the way back to the hotel we made a quick detour to see trucks filled with sugarcane pulling into the sugar processing plant. Albert and Amir were both very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of Belize with us. Overall, it was a great tour and a great day. Everyone should come visit Belize and book a tour through A Plus Adventures. We’ll be returning soon.

We were staying in San Pedro and all the excursions we saw online were for Jose Tours, so took the water taxi and Jose picked us up from there and made sure we got back in time to take it back over later that day! It’s was nice having a private tour because we really got to talk and connect with Jose! He is a great guy and will go above and beyond to accommodate you and your party. He also took us to a local spot after our tour was over because had some time to kill. He also took us to the airport a couple days later! He’s a reputable guy and we felt very safe with him. He’s part of our family now & we will always use him from now on when we head back to Belize!

Excellent service and a great experience. Joanne was very helpful in setting up our transportation, our tour of the Lamanai Mayan ruins and a snorkeling tour with Carlos Snorkeling Tours on Caye Caulker. Jose was a great tour guide and he ensured that we were at the right places at the right times. We stayed on Caye Caulker and took the ferry to and from Belize City. We enjoyed the tour of the Lamani Mayan Ruins and the boat ride on the New River with Alberto. Alberto did a great job of pointing out wildlife along the river and he was very knowledgeable about the Lamanai Mayan Ruins. The snorkeling tour with Carlos was also great. We had a wonderful time in Belize thanks to Jose Tours.

Visit one of Belize’s most preserved cave systems with your professional guide who will give vital information along the way. Sightseers and nature lovers will be in awe as the marvel at the relaxing and colorful scenery throughout this four and a half hour tour. Hike the lush Belizean rainforest before tubing through caves dating back to Mayan periods; filled with bright formations that glitter with your headlamps. Take once in a lifetime pictures both in and outside the cave before finishing a float down the open river to the end point. Most travelers accept the option to swim in the crystal clear river after exiting the cave. This is the perfect way too cool off before they enjoy some local rice and beans with stewed chicken, coleslaw and fried plantains.
Inclusions: Helmets, tubes, life jackets, headlamps , Lunch, Air-conditioned vehicle, Fuel surcharge, GST (Goods and Services Tax)
Exclusions: Gratuities, Sunscreen and repellent
Booked for the zipline and rum factory but had the most memorable time at the cave tubing experience. Percy is the Man!! learned so much about Belize from him. Landscape, cultural history etc. The guy is great and you are in great hands when you book with him. Royal Belize Adventures is the way to go. I got what i paid for and then some. Percy drove me around Belize City as an added feature and it was great. Overall a fantastic day with a friendly, accomodating, and cool guide. Whatever activity you wanna do, they got you! thanks again!
