Delfim the guide is great. He is very friendly, funny, on-time, knows the area, plans a fun trip and makes sure everyone is ok and happy. The best way hands down to learn about this amazing island is to book the full day tour with Antonio. He is so knowledgeable and professional. It only took until lunch time, to realize that we wanted to extend our time with him, so we scheduled 2 more days of tours that he customized listening to our interests. Bonuses: photography tips that he shares along the way, his fantastic stories, the company van is comfortable and luxurious, lunch at local places, many recommendations. We feel like we made a true friend on the island. I highly recommend any tour with Antonio.

If you are in Terceira and like a bit of adventure and enjoy off the beaten track activities I highly recommend you to do this tour with Juca. Juca is very knowledgable of the hidden gems on the island and passionate about his work. Also, he makes sure you are safe while visiting the caves. Last but not least, he is passionate about photography and thus, he will take take some really nice shots of you. This was one of the best tours have done so far!

I booked a last minute tour with Miguel for a private visit of the Island and it was just wonderful! He was very accommodating, lovely to talk to and willing to make the experience as nice as possible for the client. I had a few places in mind I really wanted to visit and he managed to find a way to take me to all of them. He is also very knowledgeable about the island and had a few anecdotes in his sleeves ;) I truly cannot recommend him enough and will definitely call him again whenever I come back to Ponta Delgada.

This was our first time going to Terceira and Juca was recommended to us by a co-worker who had been two weeks prior. They spoke very highly of him. We spent three days with him on a private tour and it was everything we could imagine and more. Juca picked us up each day at our hotel and dropped us off at the end of the day. He took us to see things you will not go to on a bus tour. Juca knows this island inside out. He shared with us history and traditional foods and took us to some amazing local restaurants. You know by the way he is recieved and that you are recieved by the locals that he is well respected and they make you feel as though they have known you for years. You tell him what you are looking for as well as the pace you would like to take and he will make it happen. If you want amazing experiences and amazing views and pictures Juca will not disappoint. If we return to Terceira again we will definitely be contacting Juca. 10/10 and then some.

We can highly recommend a whale watching tour with futurismo (in Pico) as we were with a small group on a ‘little’ zodiac. The tour on the zodiac was allready so much fun but we could also approach the dolphins and some whales on a non agressive and nearby way. Our guide Maria (marine biologist) had much knowledge and was so respectful towards the animals. We had a good feeling about the tour and were really lucky on what we saw that day. Thank you for the lovely experience.

Artur speaks great English. The tea factory was cool. The hot springs and botanical garden was great. The plethora of hot springs gave us a good feel for how alive the island is.

If you don´t want to rent a car, or just want to relax and stay away from having to navigate in a foreign place, just let a local like me do this for you. Believe me it is a great way for you to get to know the ways around the island. I know the island better than no other, and I will take you to all of our favorite places around: volcanos, thermal pools, waterfalls, lakes and breathtaking viewpoints. I will show and explain to you this little natural paradise I call home, in the way I myself like to see it and experience it. You can choose to navigate the Center & West or Center & East of the island. It is not possible to see all of the island in one day, but you can book this experience twice for 2 full days of exploring all the island.

My wife and I had pre-booked this trip, and along with another couple, we were picked up at the cruise terminal. The weather was poor but was forecast to get better as the morning went on. Knowing this, our friendly, knowledgeable guide reversed his normal route, such that we visited the volcanic basalt rock formations at Ponta da Ferraria first - albeit in the pouring rain. From there it was a tour and stop for coffee at the village of Mosteiros. As the weather started to lift, we headed inland to the northern edge of the caldera above the Blue Lagoon, sitting just below the cloud level. From there it was down into Sete Cidades, and then back up the other side, by now in full sunshine. From there it was back to Ponta Delgada and abrief tour of the town. All-in-all the tour was excellent value, and we saw a lot more than others on the cruise ship who had taken the standard minibus tour.
