We can certainly recommend Eric and Ana's Safari-tour. Besides the fact that they are super nice people to spend a day with, you see places that you normally do not see quickly. Eric and Ana are very enthusiastic about their region, their people and of course about wine ;-). They know a lot about the history of the region, the places to visit and have arranged everything down to the last detail. Eric and Ana work exclusively with small winegrowers for their wine tastings. During our wine tasting we received a lot of information about the winemaking process. The different types of wine and intended flavors. We had a great day. When we go to Alsace again, we will certainly contact Eric and Ana.

Once you've visited Colmar in a day this is a great way to visit some of the surrounding villages that are all really pretty. Quite a lot of walking involved to explore the different areas. I imagine that in the summer it gets very busy. We were lucky as it was sunny and quiet with a group of 5. Thanks Ivan for your patience and to try and answer all our questions. Pick up at the hotel at 9h and returned around 17h. A full day out.

Strasbourg, capital of Europe and Alsace, has a historical and architectural heritage that makes it the richest city in Alsace. Its city centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During this private 2-hour walk through the old city of Strasbourg, you will discover the heart of this Alsatian capital. The visit will start at Place du quartier blanc, then your guide will introduce you to the unmissable Gothic cathedral of Notre-Dame (no comments will be made inside the building). We had aimed up for a historical tour but due to limited number of people we were asked to join this tour. It was not a bad choice and it turned out to a wonderful way to see the city . Barbara our tour guide took our group - we were 8 people on this wonderful tour of the parks in the city of Strasbourg . She showed us the 100 year old trees and also about the app she uses to spot flowers and trees. She also treated us with cake in one of the parks .

Everything we did on this tour was just perfect. The day started with Stéphane picking us up in the Tesla. We went up to the castle and he gave very interesting background information on the history of the region and the castle on the way up. After the castle, we went to a wine tasting which was fabulous. We then went to two villages that looked like they were from a fairy tale. He was very knowledgeable and funny. I would recommend this tour to anyone who visits this region.

The German Autobahn is special for a number of reasons. The most famous one is the absence of a general speed limit. There are foreign visitors who dare to drive on the German Autobahn themselves, while others prefer to be driven. The name of my boutique-style chauffeur and limousine service is "a friend in heidelberg". Many guests of mine told me that this very name is the perfect choice. With me as your chauffeur, you will enjoy this trip on the German Autobahn with all comfort and in absolute style. Since I lived and worked in the US, I speak fluent English. I got my driver's license back in 1980 and have never had a single accident on the Autobahn. Therefore, you can be sure that it will be an absolutely safe ride. Your car will be a Mercedes S-Class, virtually a private jet for the road, equipped with all state-of-the-art features.
Inclusions: WiFi on board, Private transportation, Air-conditioned vehicle, Parking Fees, Soda/Pop, Bottled water, Coffee and/or Tea, Speeding tickets bill ;-)
Exclusions: Travel exceeding the mileage allotment of 100 kilometers per hour will be charged with 1.00 € per kilometer.
Manfred is the BEST! He will go 'over & above' to make sure that you have the best tour possible. He is smart, interesting, fun and very knowledgeable. If we make it back to Germany, we will be sure to ask for another tour with Manfred!

Thanks to the Internet genealogical research has become way easier. Nowadays you have an unparalleled opportunity to trace your roots to a certain town and to explore where your ancestors originated. You might even get lucky and meet some distant relatives. If your ancestors are from Germany, I am here to help you explore the places and points of interest related to your ancestors. Actually, a lot of Germans who emigrated came from the region I serve as a driver guide or better your "concierge on wheels". I am located in the renowned historic city of Heidelberg and my primarily geographical area of operations stretches from Frankfurt in the north, Stuttgart and Strasbourg in the south, Saarbrucken and Kaiserslautern, known as "K-town" by US army personnel, in the west and Würzburg and Rothenburg ob der Tauber in the east. The name of my boutique-style chauffeur and limousine service is "a friend in heidelberg". Many guests of mine told me that this very name is the perfect choice. I was not only born in the famous historical city of Heidelberg and know the area extremely well, but also lived and worked in the US and hence speak fluent English. If you wish I can help you with the organization of your trip ahead of time. In contrast to the famous movie "Back to the Future", I cannot serve with a DeLorean with a built-in time machine, but offer a fully equipped first-class Mercedes S-Class limousine for travels back to one’s past.
Inclusions: WiFi on board, Private transportation, Air-conditioned vehicle, Parking Fees, Soda/Pop, Bottled water, Coffee and/or Tea
Exclusions: Travel exceeding the mileage allotment of 20 kilometers per hour will be charged with 1.00 € per kilometer.
