I have been to this Cathedral for at least three times and this is the most beautiful cathedral that I have ever been to and I am so blessed to have this Cathedral be the Cathedral of my Diocese. I just love the interior of the Cathedral so much. I will definitely come back here again.

Some how we ended up walking around this area before most of the restaurants were open for lunch. BUT there was a French Patisserie open that had fabulous pastries. The owners are French and the pastries were as beautiful as the ones we found in France! We bought a whole bunch to eat for breakfast and desserts during the rest of the week of our stay in Venice. There was also a wine place open that was going to have a wine tasting later in the week, but alas, that was the day we were leaving. Too bad! Great place to wonder around, shop, eat and converse.

National, flag. POW/MIA flag, the five service flags, and fire dept. flag fly 24/7. There are two monuments as well as a piece from the World Trade Center. Memorial and Veterans Days services are crowded. Very easy to get to with no restrictions. Peaceful despite the nearby traffic. Benches and small tables if you bring a lunch
