Get the experience of visiting two island colonies in the same 37 square miles. Saint Maarten/Saint Martin's spicy marriage of Caribbean, French and Dutch cultures matches its physical diversity: the island is both urban and untamed, with rain forest-like landscapes, white beaches, and amazing caves and wildlife.

The Wall of Art is an outdoor museum that was created by French Artists after Hurricane Irma to show the resilience of the people of Saint-Martin to rebuild their beautiful island. It is a colorful wall full of love, passion and inspiration of over 15 artists. It is a km long....
I’ve been coming to St Martin for years (before and after hurricane Irma) and everything about this island is magic. From the beaches to its people, a more beautiful island can’t be found! The Wall of Art was built partially to show the people’s strength and endurance after the tragedy of Irma but also to give locals and visitors a sense of hope and to feel as though you are truly part of this magical place. The Homage Hotel (formally Mercure) and its staff helped to organize this amazing art installation and it’s such a lovely part of the experience as you travel from one end of the island to the other. It’s an incredible piece of art but more importantly it symbolizes the island mentally of community and support! A must see!!!!

Loterie Farm is a private nature reserve where we have several treetop adventure obstacle courses as well as hiking trails. After hurricane Irma, we have rebuilt our pool area as well as repaired our treetop courses. The restaurant and treelounge tapas bar has yet to be rebuilt though our kitchen for the pool area has been rebuilt so we are open for lunch . We will reopen for dinner January 2018. We are now open 7 days a week.
Renting a cabana for our party of four was a perfect way to get away from the sun and sand for the day. The service and food were superb. Kim was an awesome zip line guide on the Extreme Course. Our boys liked the zip line course here much more than the Flying Dutchman. Well worth the money!!

Was really nice walk up and down the beach areas. Had some good shops and local cuisine. We highly recommend visiting the area when in St Martin.

What a beautiful stop that our bus brought us to. This is a place where you can see for miles of the scenic shoreline. Absolutely gorgeous!

Walking up and down the boardwalk on our first evening in Phiipsburg, this quaint island church caught my eye. On Saturday evening, I attended Mass there with my dad and my niece before we set off on our Star Clipper cruise. The parish was so friendly and welcoming. At the end of the liturgy, the priest made announcements calling attention to a couple celebrating an anniversary and other special occasions of his parishioners. He also welcomed new visitors to the church. The interior of the historic church is peaceful and welcoming as well. I am glad I was able to share Mass with the residents of St. Maarten.

Always love to attend church here when back in SXM. The congregation is so welcoming, the priests have good sermons and when you have a priest that plays guitar and composes songs, what more can you ask for? Being in this church will also make you humble and feel grateful for what you have.

The unofficial town center, featuring an 18th-century courthouse and a tourist information booth.
From here, you can take a moment for orientation. You will see the beach, the water taxis bringing back people to the Cruise boats, and you are just in the middle of shopping,

This crowded street is a popular tourist center for duty-free shopping.
Front Street is the main shopping area in Philipsburg, parallels the beach and boardwalk. There are many shops with a focus on alluring the passengers from the cruise ships that come in the nearby port into their shops. They have hawkers at the doors trying to entice you in, which I am sure is the way they do business, but I find very annoying. We stayed on the Island and when the shop keepers learned of this, appeared to treat us better and in some cases gave better prices. Overall, a once stop if staying on the Island, but an area focused on the ships passengers, of which some days there are 6 ships in port and what I would term a tourist trap.
