Staggering beauty and heart-pumping thrills await in the resort town of Queenstown, which is also known for its Hobbits—much of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed in the area. Outdoor enthusiasts flock to Queenstown for the kayaking, bungee jumping, jetboating, white-water rafting, hiking and skiing. More mild-mannered adventurers can take a quiet cruise through nearby Milford Sound, part of the Fjordland National Park World Heritage area, or sample South Island pinot noir from one of the region's 75 wineries.

Buzzstop is Queenstown’s home for all things Bees and Honey. A one-stop shop to taste and purchase a fantastic selection of Kiwi honey’s from all corners of NZ. make your own honey candles, some natural honey soaps.or Experience seeing 1000's of bees through a glass walled observation hive, or try activities including spin-your-own-honey tour and for the more adventures try bee-a-bee-keeper tour.
We had a wonderful morning learning all about bees. We did the honey spinning tour and each got a pot of delicious honey with our own labels on. This was a really great activity, suitable for all ages and also good on rainy days. There is a cafe, wine tasting and a shop selling honey from all around New Zealand. The honey can be tasted to help you to decide which to buy. I never realised how much work (by the bees and the beekeeper) goes into a spoonful of honey. Many thanks Nick! ????????

We went during the school holidays in July so it was fairly busy as is expected. Having said that, lots of fun on the snow. Great for everyone including those that are new to skiing or snowboarding. There is a dedicated area for those that are learning and if you only plan on staying there then you don't have to pay as much. Access by car was easy (just drive carefully and have snow chains just in case).

Wonderful and friendly staff that had gone out of their way to gift-wrap a present my mom purchased from the shop for my mother in law - free of charge. The shop has beautiful decor with amazing jewellery, homewares, art, and clothing/accessories (which, I for one, would indefinitely visit again when I venture back to Queenstown). Overall, the shop is aesthetically pleasing with great presentation and organisation. The staff were attentive, kind, and super helpful. Thank you so much to the staff as we really appreciated the kind gesture, kia kaha.

My first visit to Game Over in Queenstown for my birthday with a couple of friends. The place was quiet when we got there which ended up being perfect as we had great fun with the staff there, particularly Darren who kindly gave us a Laser Tag game prior to our booked Go Karting and let us serenade the non-existent crowds with a bad rendition of happy birthday over the tannoy! Darren and his colleague on the Go Karting couldn’t have been more helpful and assisted us with lots of funny photos and one selfie which I found later in the photo reel ???? Thanks so much for a memorable birthday evening ????

A fantastic place to visit but not recommended for the average motorist, the road is so narrow and the drops so far down into the river it’s just too dangerous. Take one of the organised tours is my advice, but do go there if you get the chance. Just the massive swing bridge built in 1900 and still NZ’s highest at 91m above the river below is worth the trip.

We are open by appointment from 10am to 4pm from October - April. Please call ahead to arrange a time to visit our lavender farm.
Surrounded by spectacular scenery, the Ben Lomond lavender Farm is a small farm over a hilly area, just off of Malaghans road, a short drive Northeast of Queenstown. The tour of the facility will inform you about the various types of lavender, their growing requirements, harvest and processing to extract the oils and converting this aromatic plant into soaps, scents, perfumes, and other household items. A most instructive visit.

Peaceful scenic mostly flat walk around the lake. Clean & clear water lake that is well used for swimming and boats. So many photo opportunities along the way. The bridge goes over the junction with shotover river where the jet boats go. There is a great cafe near the marina to stop and have lunch. If a two way walk is too far for you there is the local bus you can catch back. Follow the path at the bottom of the botanical gardens and keep going.
