Pinedale is located in western Wyoming, approximately 75 miles south of Jackson Hole on scenic route US-191/189 to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. The spectacular backdrop of the Wind River Range stretches more than 100 miles, with 35 named peaks over 13,000 feet in elevation, including Gannett Peak, Wyoming's highest. This municipal park and veterans memorial is an outstanding “hidden gem” in our opinion. Stopping in Pinedale on our way to Yellowstone we were blown away by this park located right by the river. A great walk along the river there are plenty of benches to rest at or just enjoy the view. The park probably covers at least 10+ acres. There was an outdoor concert going on and everyone was really enjoying themselves (while social distancing). A great park and memorial for a small town !
