We are a farm park located in Chadderton, Oldham. We have more than 200 animals spread over 25 acres of scenic countryside in the valley of the River Irk. Our traditional looking farm buildings house our stables and our Petting Barn where you are able to handle our smaller animals or bath our tortoise with staff on hand to help. Visitors are able to purchase feeding buckets to feed to the animals along the way. We have several rides/ games including our Caterpillar Barrel Ride, Digger Corner, Mini Quads and Pirate Shootout. We have 2 spacious outdoor play areas with swings, slides and zip lines.
We took our Grandson and had a lovely morning walking in nature, feeding the animals and playing in the park and also went on the Caterpillar Ride. All felt very safe and we will be back very soon and thank you to the friendly staff xxx

Great walk in the disused railway line. Good views of Delph, the canal and the viaduct. Spectacular engineering all those years ago!

I had not been to this gallery for a number of years. it is free to enter and has free parking for 3 hours nearby at the weekend. On the ground floor is a car over 100 years old, made by a former Oldham firm, and a very old motorbike. On the second floor there were various paintings and works of art for sale which were all excellent. The permanent collection has a range of local paintings, some of industrial scenes and other Oldham scenes. A excellent Lowry picture of a whit walk. A great picture of Winston Churchill looking very young, Numerous other exhibits of local interest. There were some great modern art pictures and modern media. With a exhibition on the role of paper in society On the first saturday of the month between 1pm and 3pm they have a children's art session. My son loved my collages using paper and was free and great fun. Well worth a visit. A brilliant afternoon out.

Visited with my Grandson Harry and booked on to the Forrest School event run by Ellie who was excellent and made the event really interesting. We made name tags with wooden disks from tree branches then we learned how to make the camp fire where we were taught how to toast marshmallows and popcorn. We enjoyed eating the lovely warm squishy marshmallows and popcorn. We learned how to make & light our own fire safely and how to put it out. The final activity was den building which Harry age 6 really enjoyed. Real good old fashioned fun in the outdoors with lovely views of the Saddleworth hills, much better than tv and video games! The Forrest School lasted a good 2 hours and then we had admission to the farm and a bucket of feed included in the £12 cost for the 2 of us which was very good value. We had a drink and a very nice buttered scone in Cindy’s cafe which also serves hot & cold meals. We had a tour round the farm and looked at the owls, donkeys, rabbits and pigs. A good and informative and interesting afternoon out.
