One of the world’s fashion capitals, Milan offers endless opportunities for chic shopping. Hit the artsy neighborhood of Brera for leather goods and Via Monte Napoleone for exclusive, expensive boutiques. The enchanting mosaics and glass vaults of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II make shoppers feel like they’re wandering inside a painting. Take break from your spree to gape at the iconic Duomo, then grab tickets to a performance at La Scala. Post-opera, the Navigli district pulses with late-night activity.

This area in Milan offers reasonably-priced restaurants and some of the city's most exciting nightclubs.
The canal path is a lovely setting for an afternoon stroll - as I did - or you can come here after 6pm when the evenings liven up with happy hour for food and drink at the many bars and restaurants that line the paths. It's a picturesque setting with walkways both sides of the canal and various bridges on route to stop and take photos from.

Established in 1995 at the behest of Arnaldo Pomodoro, the Foundation was created to be a place of study and debate over the major issues and greatest contemporary avant-garde figures, and to act as a real cultural center, offering exhibitions, meetings, conferences, book presentations and concerts. It was officially recognised with the DM July 26, 1997, and was recognized as a museum by the Lombardy Region from 2007 to 2015. It has always had a venue where a direct relationship with the public could be maintained: after the experiences of Rozzano and Via Solari in Milan, from 2013 the activity has taken place in Via Vigevano 9, in a space adjacent to the Foundation's Archives and the Artist's Studio.

Humble and unassuming church with unfinished, brick facade which I stumbled upon while strolling along the Naviglio Grande and the place we stayed at was close-by. The altar is beautiful, the columns and the vaulted ceilings as well but the stained glass all around is adorable. In this place there was originally a small chapel, dedicated to Madonna delle Grazie, whose depiction, considered miraculous, was housed there. It was later destroyed and a bigger church was built in its place but it burnt in a fire and was later restored. Subsequently, in the beginning of the 20th century, it was enlarged in order to accept more worshippers. Pay a visit but respect the people who pray inside as it is not a tourist attraction.
