I love this little church. It hasn't changed since I was a little girl. I don't think it's open all the time, so if you wanted to go inside you would have to find out when it's open. It's lovely to wander around the graveyard, it's so peaceful and special. The woods behind the church are great if you have a dog or just want to wander through the woods. There are loads of paths if you fancy just seeing where it takes you. If you like churches, this is definitely one to see.

This olde world high street is lovely to stroll through with its interesting architecture and plentiful independent shops with many eateries. It has a charming atmosphere.

Had enough of the beach, then wander back a block or two into this enchanting garden, beautifully kept, sit in the shade or the sun, meet some nice doggies and their owners, get the flavour of St Leonards which is here all day, every day!!

After the old town, the Rock-a-Nore area is my favourite part of Hastings. Rock-a-Nore is situated at the far east of Hastings seafront and stretches from the Old Town along Rock-a-Nore Road (between the cliffs and The Stade: the working beach where the fishing boats are parked) and includes the Blue Reef Aquarium, Fishermen's Museum, Shipwreck Museum, Hastings Miniature Railway and the East Hill Cliff Railway. At the eastern most area is a huge car park, a nice pebble beach and the Hastings Motor Boat And Yacht Club. What I like most about Rock-a-Nore beach is that is away from the town centre, from the busyness of Pelham beach, and has a black drop of cliffs topped by Hastings Country Park, the Rock-a-Nore beach is separated from The Stade by a huge groyne built in 1887.

Deep in the heart of Hastings West Hill lies the Smugglers Adventure, acres of caverns that conceal the thrilling history of smugglers, bootleggers and warring bloodthirsty gangs.Visitors can explore the labyrinth of secret tunnels and passages and discover the dangers and hardships faced by Sussex smugglers in the eighteenth century.More than 70 life-size characters, interactive displays, eerie lighting and sound effects and dramatic recreations bring this mysterious and often bloody world vividly to life.
The Smugglers Adventure was an interesting way to find out about the history of the area. Mannequins and audio displays are set up which tell the history of smuggling in the area. It also gives some information about how this place was used in WW2 and some of the local ghostly presences. It's self guided and you can go at your own pace, with plenty of room for social distancing. The caves are dark but, with the lighting present, you'll have no trouble working out where you need to go next (and it would be difficult to get lost). There are some low ceilings to. I'm about 165cm and had to bend right over to get through one area. However, I'm also claustrophobic but wasn't bothered by that, in there.
