Isolated from the rest of Maui by a 52-mile winding drive through coastal rainforest, Hana is an unspoiled beauty dangling from the island's northeastern tip. Untamed Kahanu Garden contains the world's biggest collection of breadfruit and a lava-rock structure believed to be the largest ancient place of worship in Polynesia. Soak up the tropical splendor on beaches with red or black sand. Winter and spring bring humpback whales, visible from Hana Beach County Park.

This was a total surprise and one of our favorite things to do in the Hana area. Really enjoyed sampling a bunch of tropical fruits, some familiar and some very unfamiliar. Great tour, friendly staff.

you will find the trail beginning just off the Hana Maui Hotel parking lot. Approximately 15 minute steady upward walk on a clean manicured trail. View the entire town and harbor. Sometimes there are cows on the path, they were friendly and moved aside with a bit of coaxing!

Hana Tropicals is an organic flower farm and orchid nursery. My wife and I stopped here on our way back on the Road to Hana. It’s a very neat property. We were given a quick tour and explanation of all the plants that they grow. There are some truly bizarre plants there - very unique. They then showed us all their orchids they grow. There are some amazing looking and smelling (one smelled exactly like chocolate) orchids! They explained that they can ship them to you when they’re just about to bloom. They even gave my wife a free flower! I would highly recommend stopping here on your way to or from Hana!

This visit was a birthday gift. Wasn't what I had expected. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and personable. Learned so much about the Hawaiian history, its people, the vegetation, the islanders life beliefs, etc. And, the place is beautiful.
