It's really beautiful visiting the area by bike: it's absolutely safe and you can wander in the small roads along the channels of the lagoon. The landscape is amazing especially at the sunset when the colours make everything magical.

A new museum which has been well planned. It tells the history of the battery and the lives of those who manned it during the wars. It is a reminder of a time we can scarcely comprehend. Lots of interesting artefacts including some you can pick up and hold. Can get around it in an hour, but we’ll worth a visit before heading back to the sun lounger and reflecting on how lucky we are to be alive now rather than then.
