Stopped by for apple picking before heading to Pine Ridge Dude Ranch - friendly and knowledgable owner, picturesque location, great selection of apples - so many varieties, colors and delicious flavors...they have grapes too. An overall enjoyable experience. Look forward to visiting again!

Woodstock Farm Sanctuary envisions a peaceful world rooted in respect and justice for all living beings. We rescue farmed animals and give them care and sanctuary, connect animals with people to advance veganism, and advocate for animal rights in alliance with other social justice movements. We welcome visitors to come and meet animals who are most commonly exploited, abused, and killed in animal agriculture. Our animal residents are given lifelong sanctuary and are treated with respect as individuals. By giving farmed animals the chance to live their lives with dignity and by sharing their stories, we advocate for veganism and aim to reduce suffering for all.
Woodstock Farm Sanctuary is a spectacular place to tour, meet the rescued animals, and learn about animal agriculture. We visited as part of our stay at the Gray Barn (the beautiful on-site bed and breakfast). Woodstock is such a special place, and it’s only minutes from Mohonk Mountain House. It’s great for couples and families alike.

This was our first chair to Holland Farms (we have seen pictures for years.). If you want harvest scenery and kids activities outdoors you should visit. From a cotton field, to a pumpkin patch (you can pick a pumpkin with an admission price), kids activities, corn maze and sunflower field. There is a photo opportunity everywhere you look.

Our young guide (his name escapes me) was informative and debonair. Feeding apples to the Alpacas as well as petting then was a cool experience. My 2.5 year old loved it!

Once considered America's greatest zoo, The Catskill Game Farm housed over 2,000 animals with tens of millions of people having visited during its 73 year history. Today you can stay on the abandoned property and explore what remains. You have two options for your visit. You can spend a night under the stars at one of our private upscale campsites. Or you can stay at our boutique inn, The Old Catskill Game Farm Inn. Our property boasts 200+ mountainside acres, 3.5 miles of the original paved walkways and over 100 buildings of the old animal shelters are still in tact for you to explore.
Booked The Long Neck Inn with a group of friends and had a wonderful time. It was a unique experience to stay at an old zoo turned hotel. The service was excellent. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and walking our dog (a few rooms are pet friendly) on the property.

You can reach this historic 86-year-old lighthouse by boat tours from the Hudson River Maritime Museum.
If you enjoy the tranquil beauty of a lighthouse, then this one is a must-see. The current structure was built-in 1913 & it was 1st lite-up in 1915. To see the lighthouse you can take a boat tour that originates at the Hudson River Museum or by walking the Kingston Point Rail Trail.

A beautiful and serene monastery that serves as a retreat and study center and is worth a visit.
Beautiful zen grounds, visitors are welcome to explore the monastery and gift shop. Free parking onsite. The monastery is located at the trailhead of an easy hike. We always stop here after a winter walk up the mountain. Very peaceful and educational. They have numerous events and programs.
