One of the best view! It is worth a visit. If you don't like to climb you drive all the way to the parking and then climb a bit. The climb is short and mild. The drive there is ok. Dirt road but fairly good. Once you reach the main view point, climb a bit further. It is worth it!

I will not talk about the history and importance of the monastery because much has been said in other comments. I want to mention what you can visit near the monastery. At the monastery, cross the bridge over the river Raca and follow the path going upstream. After a two-kilometer walk along the river, mostly through the deep forest, you will reach Ladjevac waterfall above which is the spring of the same name. From the spring uphill begins the narrow and steep canyon of the river Raca with numerous waterfalls. It is very difficult to walk and do not go there alone because the possibility of meeting a bear is very high. Near the spring are the remains of St. George's Scythian where a transcript workshop of the Raca Monastery was hidden. Not far from this place is the Beech Gate, two beech trees that grow a meter and a half in parallel, and then one tree abruptly turns and merges with the other, growing further as one. There is a signpost on the main path that directs you a hundred meters uphill to St. George's Scythian. From there you should continue uphill and take the overgrown path to the left that takes you another 200 meters to the Beech Gate. I hope you find this comment helpful. If you need any help with this or any other attraction in Serbia (location information, transport, guide, arranging a private tour, etc.), please feel free to contact me because I do tours all over Serbia. Enjoy Serbia!

Drvengrad is ethno vilage at Mokra Gora region,on the slopes of mountain Zlatibor in Serbia. It was built by Serbian film director Emir Custurica famous.for his film Life is a miracle. Zlatibor mountain is the most popular leisure destination in Serbia :clean air ,sunshine during summer ,,and heavy snow during winter. Tourist facilities include modern hotels ,cottages, skiing tracks.... The most attractive is Drina River House, never seen before ,unique house on the river which became the world famous attraction unforgettable picture ,after its photo had been published in National in 2012. Must see,it is really miracle..
