The 10 Best Shopping Malls in Central Business District, New South Wales

February 25, 2022 Jacquiline Darosa

Sydney offers plenty of historical and contemporary Australian flavor. The marvelous Sydney Opera House looks like a great origami sailboat, floating peacefully in a harbor. Wander the narrow cobblestone streets of The Rocks and then take in a street performance on the Circular Quay before heading into the Museum of Contemporary Art. The views from the Sydney Tower Eye observatory are epic – use this chance to get to know the layout of the city from high above.

World Square Shopping Centre

World Square Shopping Centre is quite handy for shopping in the city. It is in a rather central location and has numerous shops catering for just about every need. We have been here a few times, mostly to browse around and occasionally buy something. For those working in the vicinity or visiting from interstate or overseas this is a great place to do their shopping as there is a supermarket and many smaller stores. There are fashion shops, as well as cafes and restaurants, and all types of other stores. Of course, if you don't find what you want here, then just go outside and head to another store down the road!

We went to Harbourside Shopping Centre on a day out and we found it has changed somewhat since last time we were there, years ago. It is actually better and it seems to be brighter with many shops, cafes and various eateries. Even children can have fun without too much trouble. It's a really lovely place to go for a few hours or even for the day! And it is very close to the city centre.

Town Hall Square

Reviewed By 750dimitrisl - Sydney, Australia

We have been going through this mall for years, whenever using Sydney trains. It is next to Town Hall station. It is underground and is quite busy, probably because of all the passengers using the trains. Be that as it may, many people do visit the shops, of which there are numerous. There are many cafes and all sorts of eateries, in amongst the fashion and others stores. The Mall itself is like a thoroughfare and is quite clean, in spite of the thousands of travellers walking through. It's rather interesting! Recommended for a visit.
