The geographical heart of England, Birmingham started life as a sixth- century Anglo-Saxon village. Today, much of this city of over a million dates back to post-WWII redevelopment in the 1950s and 60s. Cutting edge museums and galleries, innovative theaters and excellent shopping have contributed to Birmingham's appeal as a weekend break destination. Don't miss the hopping bars and cafes of Gas Street Basin or the fascinating creatures at the National Sea Life Centre.

The spacious mall runs through the International Convention Centre (ICC Birmingham) from Centenary Square to Canalside, featuring a number of services including a Business Reception, Starbucks, WH Smith, Castle Fine Art and access to both the ICC halls and meeting rooms and to Symphony Hall. The International Convention Centre Birmingham and Symphony Hall both have their own additional TripAdvisor listings, so for more information on either venue, please search those directly.
Been here for plenty of concerts, first time for a conference. Breakout sessions in various halls meant lots of walking between them. Add on the walk back and for from New St Station and we can confirm we have hit our daily target, Great facilities and location, look forward to more.

Mailbox opened in 1998 and was the redevelopment of the former Royal Mail sorting office in Birmingham City Centre. It is one of the UK’s largest mixed-use building incorporating retail, leisure, offices and residential in a well managed, security patrolled complex of the highest quality. The tenants include Malmaison and AC Hotels, the BBC Midlands headquarters, luxury retailers including Harvey Nichols, and a range of restaurants and bars. As Birmingham’s premier shopping and lifestyle destination the Mailbox is the ultimate location for designer shopping in the Midlands with international brands as well as chic salons & spas in one central Birmingham location.

Home to a broad range of places to eat and drink, both family favourites and new places to discover, plus a little outlet shopping from top brands. Add in awesome family entertainment at the cinema, virtual reality and retro gaming, the stunning Genting Hotel and luxury Santai Spa, as well as the Genting International Casino, there's so much fun to be had under one roof.
It's been over a year since my last visit and RW is on the up. Restaurant selection is superb ...Miller & Carter, TGIs, Nandos , Las Iguanas etc plus the Casino bars and restaurants all accessible to the adult public. Enjoy a beer and a smoke on the casino terrace under heaters or try your luck. Visit the cinema with kids or amusements / escape room. The shops are varied and offer some bargains if you like that sort of thing. Well worth a half day visit or hotel stay and upmarket night out in the Skybar...RW gets some negative reviews but best to make your own mind up and you'll probably find something you like. ????????????????????
