I walk 3 miles every day inside this mall. It's a pleasant mall with a decent food court. The problem is that there are a lot of empty businesses. Of the 6 anchor positions, Sears is gone, Macy's is in the process of closing, and Regal Cinema has been closed since July 2020. There are at least twenty (1 and 2 units) that are empty. One of their only two sit down restaurants, Ruby Tuesday, closed in August. Starbucks left this past Wednesday. The place has potential but really needs new owners and a major do over to give it life again.
The Charlotte Arts Gallery features the work of approximately 10 Charlotte Arts members changed 10 times a year. Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council is pleased to “help strengthen our local economy, drive tourism and enhance our community through the arts. As more people visit here and move here, we will create an inspiring place to live and work,” explained Valerie Guenther, Board President.
